If you want real answers you are in the wrong place. All the people on here at leat all the ons that posted are cock fags!!!!!Cll a shop Like F.A.S.T and talk to them they will get you straight
Did not say it was or wasnt running hot.Could be? But did say no over heating.Over heating meaning boiling over not just a little hot.
I seen you have a temp gauge. What are some of your average temps on a trail ride?
Try spraying ether around the carb boots, card tops, reed cages, anb bases of cylinders if it starts to idle higher, then you found the leak,
And could you hear it boiling through the resvoir?
If you want the tat to come out good i would not ride! All it take is 1 scab to come off and it will take the ink right out. Its not worth paying money to f it up a few days later.
Working on half sleaves allmost done.
Try turning the air screws But make sure they are the same. It sounds like it may need a little more fuel so you would turn them in. If that makes it worse though turn them back out. Pilot screws working range is .5 to 2.5 out. it should be set at 2 out from factory.
B.S Ride trails slow behind my buddys Brute all day and never over heated. Over heating means there is a problem. Not enough fuel, air leak or something.
Ok milling the head is less expensive but does the some thing ups the compression. Why waist money on stock head when you probably will get a cool head any in the future. Why because its cool.
Found out were me and my buddy got the timing plate mod from. we didnt buy it we did it are selves with a drill press. members.aol.com/ronw626/timingplate.html
Well i guess the first question we should have ask is what kind of riding are you doing
I would try a cool head first. There a little cheaper than pipes and give good power. Try 21cc doms or 20cc doms for more compression. Someone on here also has a +4 timing mod. Shows you how to do it. Thats good for a little free power.
Thanks, thats why i asked before i bought. i would love the cheetahs, but it sounds like it would be a waste. so you gus dont like the fattys? what would you get?
So all you do is dune and drag? Are there dunes in Detriot? I like to go fast too. If i wanted a all out trail bike i would have got a 4 stroke. Just wanted to know how it would run. And if it could be trail riden . How much power does you bike put down. I dont plan on leaving the fattys on there for good or the stock carbs . Just want to know if it will run and give me more power than i have know.Cant have it all at once, but Wish i could.
Ok, now i want cheetas or cubs. But i can not find any info witch would be better. I dont race or anything just want more power for trails and just have the cool factor so i will not be going really extrem. the only differances i know of that the cheetahs have a power valve. What does that do and what are the benafits of having the power valve.
Whats the deal with welding the crank? How much power will it take before this needs to be done. Is it worth it or shoud i just get a hot rod or somthing. Right know i have 21cc doms fattys +4 timing .20 over. Are the stock rods any good for more compression.
Ok where are all of you big engine guys getting your work done?I would like to get my banshee bored and ported.Nothing real extreme, and not really on the top end because i ride trails mostly.
What would be a good cc for this kind of riding.Im thinking maybe a 370cc/66mm or whatever. And would the stock carbs be ok to run.
