  1. WORD! I was planning on writing a bunch of info... I have the motor you are looking at...
  2. WORD! I was planning on writing a bunch of info... I have the motor you are looking at...
  3. I wouldn't spend the extra money on different carbs... Keep those, you should be fine!
  4. and... air filters (get rid of the air box if you can) TORS removal kit (a must)
  5. Try this man! http://www.trailtech.net/computers.html Casper has one of these on his YFZ450... Really trick!
  6. The drags are flat! It was really nice. We when out last weekend, and I'm planning a trip for June if you'd like to go. Check the events forum.
  7. You can call up Jeff, he sells it by the foot. Just tell him your set up. He'll get it as close as possible.
  8. WORD! I sent mine out on a Monday, and got it back on a Friday. I am on the west coast though. The shock handles my +6 swinger and 250lb fat ass like a champ. Can't go wrong on the TCS rebuild service.
  9. Cool man! It's always fun to start a new build...
  10. I ride the dunes all year! Dumont and Glamis during dune season (October - March) and Pismo (April - October) The dunes in Pismo are lame, but it's on the beach... Living in SoCal is cool... I've surfed in the morning, and snowboarded in the evening. Can't get that in too many places.
  11. I'm not sure if I believe that... The quiet part I do for sure! Diesels are made to tow... Plain and simple. I have a buddy that tows with a V10 and loves it, but he says all the time... "It's no diesel!" You have to remember... Towing or not, the fuel milage is going to be a HELL of a lot better on the diesel.
  12. I don't think that 23K is a bad price... Remember, he is in SoCal. Prices on everyhthing is a lot higher than the rest of the US. I have a 2003 7.3L F250 on 35's. Love the motor... I have 83K on mine and it's still pulling like a new truck. I'm pulling a 35' slick side 5th wheel toy hauler with mine. I'm not doing 80 up any grades, but the fuel milage is not bad, and it gets me where I'm going. I'd say get it! My tranny is still factory, and it's been towing stuff from day one.
  13. OK guys, me and a bunch of people are going out to Pismo for my annual birthday Pismo run. I
  14. I have a G Force and I'm not getting beat by any 4-strokes. If you want a drag axle that's light buy a LSR axle (if you want to drag, you're going to go a -2 -4 axle). If you want a good duning axle, buy a G Force for $199 (if you're a duner, you want +2 +4 axle).
  15. The best bag for your buck is going to be porting. An aggressive dune port would make that thing a little monster. Jeff at FAST will hook those jugs up really nice. If you are thinking about doing it, I'd get my name on a list... He's a very popular man! other mods that are good... K&N pods timing plate NOS head w/ smaller domes Huge mod for the sand... Paddles! If you have a good set of light paddles, you'll notice a huge difference!
  16. I have one on the Banshee in my sig. I only ride the dunes and the axle is second to none. In fact, if you don't want it, give me the guys number, and I'll pick it up for my other Banshee. You will love it. There are a bunch of people on here that ride them.
  17. Way more then a 100.... :yelrotflmao:
  18. Glad to hear you're doing better Dallas! I'm very glad your wife and daughter didn't get it. I think it's tough on a father/husband having to deal with the sight of his family going through sh!t like that! Congrats on the new bun in the oven... I can't wait to have another one!!!!!
  19. What's up Jay... You can leave your Banshee standing up as long as you want... Here are a couple of rules I follow for storing my Banshee... 1. Drain all the gas out of the tank. 2. Make sure the carbs do not have fuel in them 3. Stand it up 4. Put a cover on it Wait for Cali dune season... Season comes... Change fluids, add gas. I transport my Z400 standing up all the time. The only thing to think about is if the fuel tank is toped off, it will leak the whole drive to your spot. The bike that's rested against it will be covered in fuel. Oh yeah, you live in SanD... make your way up to Pismo... It's not Glamis or Dumont, but it's a little sand box to tool around in. Just my .02
  20. WORD! Very well said!
  21. LOL That's funny! Happy Birthday man! And many more!
  22. What about the STU Razorbacks? That's what I'm running on my ride, as well as my Z400... I have the 3-3 off-set on mine. These tires are second to none in the dunes. I've ran the Sand Stars, and the Mohawks, and I'll never go back to either! Memo, next time you're out with us, check out the way they float. The STU tires are hella light, and have the most area of rubber to help keep the quad on top of the sand. The single ridge is a lot taller than most. Here is a picture of the STU's vs. Mohawks... Just my .02
  23. John at Sand Toyz is a stand up guy... I have Shearer inframes on my cub, and love them... i know it's not out of frames, but I'm sure the Shearers hit the same way.
