Got questions about Jetting...

I have the snorkel off already, i really dont want to take the airbox lid off (due to problems with the kfx because of that) The choke tube is on, and i think the air screws are at 2.5 turns out. It starts bogging right from take off, it has no power at all, it barley moves. -

I jetted it to 240, its not running rite at all. It seems like its getting way too much gas. It has no powerband and it just bogs down and stalls. I moved the needle clip up one on the one side (didnt have enought time to do the other yet) and that side seems to run alot better. Any advice on how many i should go up with the needle? Or anything else i can do? -

Thanks alot, im going to try the 240 that came with the quad. Anything else im gonna have to play with to get it right? -
I am putting my fmf fatty's and powercore 2 silencers on along with a twin air air filter with the snorkel removed. What should i run as fas as jetting? The local dealer told me to run it 20 more than it is which would make it 240. Is this right?

It's ok, you need to pop out the black connector the cable is connected to with a flat screwdriver, once you get it off you will see a needle looking thing, it is spring loaded, so you can push it in, hold the needle in and see how it runs, if that is the problem you can either splice the wires and connect them, or just shove cardboard or something into the place where the black connector goes into the clutch perch so it will push in more and stay in better. If you need any more help with it let me know, im glad to help a fellow rider out in any way. -

I would give it gas and it would either bog or rev out really quickly without alot of throttle. Its right on the clutch perch, you will see the wire. You will need a screw driver to push the tab so it comes out. Even if this is not the problem its good to fix it before t causes you problems. Im goin to take mine off and cut the wires and put them together. The same thing went on my kfx. Look at this picture, it is the only cable comming out of the perch. http://i16.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/e9/ac/08_1.JPG Good luck with everything. Let me know if that works or not. -

Almost the same thing happend to mine today, it turned out to be the clutch sensor on the handlebars. If it does it again take it off and push the spring thing down and see if it runs then. Make sure the spring is totally in. -
Thanks alot guys, im goin to put the new tank full in today. Im gonna drain the little bit of gas out and put new spark plugs in and see what happens. I'll make sure to tell you's wuts goin on.

BUMP! Somebody has to have a set of pipes for sale!!
-
Thanks alot guys, im gonna wait until this tank runs out and run the 32:1 and see how it is.
-
It actually dont really lug. sometimes when i get on it a lil more it just loses all power then it kicks in like 3 seconds later. I've riden alot of 2-strokes before and i know how the power is. I think its just cuz the ratio is so rich.
-
The mechanic put gas in it when i got it, im pretty sure hes runnin it 20:1 Once this tank is gone im mixing it castor 927 at 32:1. Hopefully it will run better.

I just got my 06' banshee. I am breaking it in and i give it gas and it seems like it lugs and then picks up. Someone told me it may be the jets. Is this normal with break-in or do i have to rejet it? Thanks for the help.
