  1. 7mm Cub, 1/4 mile 10.80 @ 114
  2. vw brian, Our 7mm Cub jetting for alky (35mm), #52 pilots, drilled 108 mains and 100 jet type power jets. We run asphalt 1/4 with a fuel pump and the pump tends to richen the mixture.
  3. The slow banshee was slower than ever at Vegas last night. We put in a new clutch and it bogged bad 2.05 60' and went 11.73@113. Made adjustments on the rear tire pressure and wheelie bar to take bite away. Ran 11.00, 10.88, and 10.89 on the brakes. The 10.89 run I compared the 1,000' times to the 10.88 run, it would have been 10.82. The second round of eliminations I missed a shift and lost. The quad is running good, the timing is were it should be, but the fuel is way rich. It lays over hard at the top of the gears and from 3/4 track on. So far the Cubs are proving faster than the stock cylinders, we ran 10.91 before the Cubs.
  4. The greatest threat to the Banshee would probably be the OWNER
  5. Got the Banshee out of the shop today. Changed from the stock cylinders to the cubs and changed the CC's from 417cc to 443cc. Hope to improve on the best 1.4 mile time of 10.91 and best mph at 113. We will find out on 11 Aug.
  6. Here is our set-up 7mm, stock cylinders (ported), alky, 17/40 sprockets, 2.68 straight cuts, plus 8" arm, stock frame and built to NHRA's strict rules. We have run a best of 10.91 in the 1/4 @113 MPH. 1/8 mile times are 6.50-6.60 @ 96-97 MPH with the 1/4 mile gearing. The clutch is the key to great times, but my mouth is shut on that subject. We are in the process of switching to the cub cylinders.
  7. Thanks NYUK, We are new to ATV drag racing, but wise with the 1/4 mile car or truck racing. We've applied most of our 1/4 mile knowledge to the quad and about 95% of the stuff works! I drive a low 8 second S-10 truck for my sponsor and my Wife drives my old mid 10 second Camaro and my Son will take over the riding duties on the quad in June when he turns 16.
  8. My Son and I built a 1/4 mile banshee last year. We have run a best of 11.25, 112 MPH and 1.48 60'. The bike is a stock frame, +7mm, stock cylinders on alky.
