the person i bought it from said they used 40:1 and when i bought it the fist tank i put in it is at 32:1 could that be why its doing that and the bike isnt running that good

where would the air leak be? In the rubber gaskets on the exhaust where it comes out of the engine the stock rubber is cracked and a good amount of exhuast comes out, could that be it?

When i tryed to start my '01 banshee it backfired when i kicked it over, then on the next kick it started up. It reved real high on idle then went down to a low rev and then went back real high and then shut off. It was spitting a little bit of a dark oil out of both of the exhaust pipes, and recently it has been overheating a little it i ride it for a long period of time. So i figured it may be the spark plugs, when the took the left one out (when ur looking at the quad head on) a little bit of smoke came out of the piston hole where the spark plug was. Do i have a blown head gasket or a frozen piston or what?

Just recently i noticed when my 01 shee is warming up it spits out what looks to be a dark oil from both exhaust pipes, its about 10-15 drops or so from each pipe. Once i start riding it and its warmed up it stops, is this normal?

i recently bought a '01 banshee near the engine on both sides there is an orange rubber tube about 3 in. long with tightining rings on both sides to join the exhaust pipe coming out of the engine and the pipe the runs to the back, i believe the orange things are stock. Both of them are completely cracked and they leak exhaust bad, does any one know where i can order new ones online?

would it be possible for me to check the headgasket myself if i dont know anything about mechanics, besides the basics and common sense... If i were to have a service guy do it on the side at his house how much do u think it would be to have the head gasket replaced?

where is the pump located?

i just bought some yamacool and it overheated a little bit but then after awhile it started to act fine so i think once it started flowing it was alright. This is offtopic but does the aftermarket boost bottle slow down the low-end??

how do u think its a blown head gasket? I just bought the quad and the coolant is low and i didnt know it, it could be just that simple couldnt it? Besides it overheating once, the quad runs great im pretty sure it cant be blown... but i dont know much about these quads

im pretty sure it was low to begin with because when it overheated only a little bit came out, theres no way all of the coolant out of the resevour poured out...

i just went outside and found the problem, the coolant level is right above the low level. Can i use regular car antifreeze or should i go to the dealer and buy special coolant?

the gas/oil mixture?
