  1. Yes you have to mod the tank a little. Because the factory valve has two pick up's(one for on an one for reserve). And the Pingel has one large pick up tube so you have to cut the divider out with a razor knife and make the hole a little bigger . But it only takes a min but I would say it is irreversable.
  2. Why not just use the one made for the banshee. http://www.pingelonline.com/powerflo.htm Item 3110-D-AH61A.
  3. Motorsport Alloys Tork Black. With some 22x11x10 ITP Mudlites on the rear.
  4. Here's a good link to some homemade octane boosters. I never tried them but its good reading if your curious. http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/octanebooster.html
  5. I got a set also they pull hard but the way they fit wasn't the best id ever seen, but they are hand made pipes so in theory no two should really be exactly the same.
  6. This guy is really nice and does good work at a reasonable price. http://www.feathercarbon.com/yamahaatv.htm
  7. I also have tried the plastic type tubing they sell at lowes, home depot etc. And once it heats up the hose gets soft and starts to sag, and mine just blew the whole hose out where it had started to bend and I had to get towed home by a Suzuki :: . If you look at the tag or packageing on this stuff(clear and braided) it says its only good for like 110F and like 5psi. And the Shee radiator cap dosent release pressure unitl 13.8-18.1 psi. I checke at some local industrial suppy stores and you can purchase a clear high temp hose like you see in all the kits but I could only find it in 1000 foot rolls and a 5 bucks a foot its not worth it. IMO
  8. That picture is pretty crappy ill try to get a better one tomorrow!
  9. They are made by Motorsports Alloys and are called the Tork wheel,I got mine from RMATV. Everywhere I go People ask about them. Just make sure to get the 14mm head tapered lugs cause the bigger socket wont fit in the holes on the wheel! Heres a pic
  10. I just put a set on this past weekend and I even went up to a 10" wheel for a little more clearance. I was really surprised with how they rode it was alot smoother than I had expected and now I finally have a set of tires that dons just spin out of control. These things hook up like a champ I didnt try em in any mud but im sure they will work great!
  11. I just installed mine with no problems. It says in the instructions to wrap the threads with teflon 3 times or thread damage will occur. Did you wrap them the first time you installed it? You want to make sure you have a straight non restrictive route for your fuel lines to follow or you may run into problems with the motor running lean from fuel starvation. Just happened to mine and siezed my right cylinder. I was auctually surprised at the poor quality of the Pingel valve because of the high price it has I figured you wouldnt have the manufacture tell you to use teflon tape to ensure it dosent leak!
  12. I had one on my 400ex a few years ago and it was pretty much the most useless thing I had ever purchased. Could not read the thing at all while riding and the speedometer never worked right it would skip around from 20 mph and I would accelerate and the thing would jump up to like 85mph and then go back down to like 65 and I would only be doing 30 or so. So in my opinion stay away from that thing it sucked! Unless they have done significant improvements on it in the last few years which from their web site it dosent appear to have changed at all.
  13. Amsoil SAE 30WT Cyicle Oil. Makes my shee and the blaster shift smoother.
  14. My left pipe leaks at the motor side and is loos compared to the right. Need new springs maybe??
  15. I just got mt set yesterday to replace my T-6's on my cub motor, and they fit just as well if not a little better than the t-6's. Had NO issues at all with the install, they are a little louder than the T-6's but not very much. But as you stated the chrome could be better but hey I got them for the perfromnce factor I guess thats why the Shearers are less money than the Toomey's etc because the dont put as much into the look of the pipes. But overall they are awsome.
  16. I just got my 421 cub back from Passion Racing last week and took it on its first ride sat. and WOW I think it is still very trail worthy but tight trails dont do this motor any justice... When I found some room to open her up it freakin screams like nothing ive ever rode before!! The only downside is with the 35mm PWK's the thumb is so freakin stiff and between that and trying to hold on all day my arms were shot, but hey thats waht they make twist throttle kits for right. A twist throttle will be my next purchase(and some new rear tires!!!) And just think it runs this good with my T-6's I cant wait for the Shearer's to arrive so I can try them out!!!!!
  17. I just modded my stock one by drilling out opposite the stock outlet and putting a new barb in there. I dont know if it will flow as much as the Pingel one but I like having the 2 separate lines instead of spliting the single hose into two.
  18. These ones from Eddie Saunder Racing are pretty trick. http://www.esr250.com/
  19. Well I just shipped mine to Jim at Passion Racing and minus the jugs, headn, pistons and carbs it was 81.7 lbs including the box so maybe just the engine was about 70.
  20. if the break isnt clean try hitting it with a flattip and a hammer to try and back it out till you can grab it with pilers.
