  1. Well, I think I have a bog when I take off. I have 300 main jets, stock pilots, 1.5 turns on air screws, K&N w/ proflo adapter "outerweared", V-force 3's, and T5's. Well, my plugs are a chocolate brown like a new cardboard box. I also have black premix/oil on the tips of my pipes(a wet black ring). Is this normal? I run 32:1 Yamalube(4 gal. gas to 16 oz. of premix). It is around 950 - 1050 ft. above sea level here in MISSOURI and 60 - 90 degrees F. Well, help me out if I should try somethin else. 06 Banshee black w/ flames.
  2. I am looking to change one of my sprockets on my 06 Shee. I ride trails, hills, gravel roads, and tracks. I think I want a little more low end out of my bike. I know it is 14/41 is stock and see people change the FRONT to 13 and leave the rear stock. Well, I don't want a big change so, should I go to 40 on the rear and keep the front stock? I thought I read that 1 tooth up front equals 2 in the rear. Correct me if I am wrong. I am just wanting to pull a small amount, or should I just leave it stock. Can someone point me to the directions and info on how to remove the flywheel? Who should I go through to get it lightened?   7. I took apart both carbs. Only one is leaking now and it is on the right side. I can't figure out how to get the valve off inside the carb that lets the fuel in. I tried the idea you gave me and as I turn the carbs upside down air slowly stops coming through and then stops. Gas is still coming out of the carb bowl drain hose when I turn the fuel on. Am I missing something?

  11. Ok both my carbs are leaking gas out the the drain hose at the bottom of the carb. Are those valves always open? I can blow air through them and feel air come out the inside brass tube inside the bowl. How do I measure the float height(21mm I think). The gas only leaks out with the fuel is in the on position. I have 290 mains, dyno jet needles(4th clip), stock pilots and 1 1/4 turns on the mix screw. Here is what I have done. I have cleaned the carbs with carb cleaner and compressed air. I tried removing the screws that opens the carb bowl's drain system but the screws are now stripped. :baseball_bat: I am confused and the only thing I know to do is take it to a shop but this is probably an easy fix.   12. Ok I received my Noss Machine black head w/ orings and 21 cc domes. I run 93 octane and 32:1 Yamalube, and my elevation is 950+ ft. above sea level and temp @ 90 w/ 80% humidity. I torqued my head nuts to about 22-25 inch lbs.(20 didn't feel snug). I started it after hooking everything back up and adding coolant. Seemed to run hot when I took it for a run. Maybe just ride around on it a bit longer might help??? Well I am also getting ready to take the lid off my airbox so I can run stock K&N filter w/ outerwear. I guess a 290-300 main jet? Well any advice you guys have I can use about what I'm doing would be great... :ninja:
  13. Installed the 290 main, toomey needles on the 4th clip from the blunt end, and 1.5 turns on the air screws. Seems to have more jump to it . And I don't have to find the power band, it's just all there. I am gonna do a plug check later.
  14. Sounds like a plan. I will try a 290 main and use the Toomey needles with the clip in the middle position. I will go down to 280 main if it is still rich. My airbox lid mod is from EHSracing.com if you want a visual. It won't be till friday since I work nonstop all week. I knew somethin was wrong when a Z400 pulled away from me in a race. His mods was just exhaust and K&N.
  15. When I am 1/4 ways into throttle I give it gas and it don't want to go, so I have to double throttle it. When it goes, it opens and hits peak fast and hangs there. My plus are wet around the first 5-8 rings from the top the plug(from the part it says, BR8ES). I have a 320 main jet, 4th clip postion on stock needles(from blunt end), T'5, v-force 3's, K&N w/ pro flo adapter, and a outerwear modded lid w/o snorkel. I think it is jetted to high for a 1000 ft elevation and 65-90 degrees F. I also took out the Toomey needles(dynojet) or should I put it back in at 3 or 4 position? I am going to put in a 300 main, but which needle and clip position is what I am having trouble with.
  16. What about the Toomey needles? Should I use them or just go back to stock?
  17. I tried a 310 and needle in the 4th clip(Toomey needles) from the blunt end. I did a plug check and it was grey. There was a noticeable difference. I put in the 320 main in and alittle darker. I have the air/fuel mix screw at 2 turns out right now. Should I change somethin? I only road the bike for about 5-7 minutes.
  18. I just got my T5's for my 06. Right now I have V-force 3's, K&N w/ Pro Flo Adapter, and modded Outerwear lid from EHSracing.com. I have a 260 main jet, stock pilot, and needle in stock position. I am at 950-1000 elevation at 70-90 degrees(Missouri). I think I am going to try a 290 or 300 main but the needle is what confuses me. Should I follow the Toomey instruction on 4th from the blunt end? Or should I change it with my mods(V-force 3's)? Thanks
  19. Ok I got a bunch of jets and I ended up at a 270 main, 1 turn on the air/fuel screw, 4th notch from the blunt end. I am at around 900 - 1000 ft. elevation from weather 70-90 degrees F. My mods were the V-force 3's, K&N filter with Pro design adapter, and modded airbox lid w/ Outerwears cover. I almost sounds like it is not getting enough fuel on the beginning of each gear. But when I hit the powerband it takes off. Just sounds like alot of air is bogging it down. Help me out plz.
  20. I just installed on my 06. Vforce 3 reed valve, and I left the insert in the v-force 3's. I have the clip in 2nd from the top(blunt end). I also installed a K&N filter and modded my airbox lid for a customer outerwear cover. I installed 240 main and my stock was 200. It is backfiring like crazy and only runs with a choke....Should I go up that much more on a main jet or could it be an air leak?
  21. I received them and installed them with no problems. I want to know why you can pull out the intsert on the side where it connects to the rubber intake piece? It goes from a round hole to a big square. Is this used for bigger carbs, modded engines, ect.? I left them in but tell me if I did something wrong. The directions say nothing.
  22. Oh, and my weather is anywhere from 60-90 degrees F. I live in Missouri and it says on this website Elevation: 933 ft. / 284.4 m (surveyed). If that helps anymore.
  23. Ok, I will get 250-310 jets for my bike to be safe. Also, with this setup, the needle will be on the 1st notch on the blunt in? Will the needle stay the same when I get the pipes?
  24. Ok, i am getting impatient but It is taking 2 weeks to get my T-5's. Won't be here till Tuesday of next week. I want to install my K&N, with modded Outewears lid, and Vforce 3's. I just need to know what the stock jet is on a 2006 Banshee???? I think it is 220 or 230???? If so I should get 240,250, and 260 mains?? Thanks.
  25. I have the uni filter with uni 1" snap in pods. This is all used with the stock airbox setup, a replacement. It came with a package from the bike shop. I don't need this since I already have a K&N setup. $25.00 shipped takes it....
