So I was talking to a buddy at work and was telling him that I needed to jet my banshee at full throttle in 6th gear because I have seen and been told that before. He said why cant you do it in 2nd or 3rd at full throttle? I didnt have a good answer for him. So my question is do I need to be in 6th gear or can I do it in 2nd 3rd or even 4th and still be accurate? Also if I should be in 6th what are some reasons for it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks everybody that is what I wanted to know.

Nope no pipes just the silencers. So I was thinking around 270 for a starting point. What do you think? Also should I stay with the needle in the number 3 spot or move it down?

I have a banshee that is stock except for fmf silencers and k+N pods. I am having trouble with it and need a rough baseline. I am at sealevel and will be riding in 50 to 60 degree weather. Please help. Thanks in advance.

How about 35 for the clutch lever and perch and the thumb throttle shipped? If you accept that I will send the money today. Let me know. -
Should brake fluid leak from the parking brake block off? Mine leaks from it but I dont see any where you can buy new gaskets for it? Or does my caliper need rebuilding?

I just bought a banshee that was in a box and finally got it back together. Well today I got it running but when I went to shut it off it wouldnt shut off with the kill switch. I found a broken wire in the kill switch so I fixed that but still will not shut off. There is no key switch on this bike either. This happens on a cold motor also. Does anybody have any ideas what it could be?

I will be putting on k+n filter pods on my totally stock banshee. Should I go 1 or 2 sizes up on my main jet?

Did you shut the gas off before trailoring? Maybe that carbs needle and seat is leaking and you filled your cylinder with to much gas.

The ridge runners in canaan nh put a couple on a year. Then they have a big one at gunstock during bike week in laconia nh.
-
Am I too high on price or am I in a bad part of the country to sell this kind of bike?
-
I have a banshee for sale in nh. I has a fresh top end bored .60 over with t5 pipes and works shocks up front( I think). Its not the prettiest machine out there but with a coat of paint and some chrome being buffed up it would look good. The only thing it would need is a set of tires. I am asking 1500 obo. I also would be willing to travel to help with delivery.

Well your ground comment got me thinking. I remember reading about the red with a black strip wire being a ground also so I grounded that wire under the volt regulator just to make sure it had a good ground and BINGO it fired right up. So I guess I will button everything up and take it for a spin. Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it.

Another thing I just found was that I just did a top end rebuild but when I checked my compression with my thumb over the hole it doesnt seem to have hardly any comp at all. I cant think of anything that I might have done wrong when I put it all back together. All the splices where just twisted together for now until I get this thing running. I guess I will try another coil to see if that helps my weak spark (atleast I think its weak). Any other suggestions would really be appreciated. Thanks

I bought a banshee off a guy and ended up rebuilding the top end. I am finally getting around to getting the whole bike back together and am having a problem getting it to run. First I had to splice the wires for the cdi individually, but the wiring harness has more wires than cdi has but I am getting what I think is a week spark but not sure. I have no tors or e-brake switches on the bike. When I try to start it the bike pops but definatley doesnt sound like it wants to run. Also when I am trying to start it fuel runs out of the overflow lines at the bottom of each carb. I have an extra cdi I can wire in but has the same amout of wires on it which if I remember correctly the extra wires that are not connected are a yellow and a green wire. I really need help here. I also tried pouring gas down the cylinders and the bike does the same thing.

I have a motion pro twist throttle without the grip and a set of nerf bars (not sure what kind). If anybody wants these just give me your location and I will get a shipping price and they are yours. If you are interested in the nerf bars give me your e-mail and I will send you a pic.

I am looking for some chain adjusters and a front master cylinder. If you got them send me some pics and price including shipping to 05001. Thanks

I just bought a banshee that came with a front brake resivoir that is not the stock one. It is a nissin resivoir and I need a rebuild kit for it. My question is how do I find out which kit I need because I dont know what machine it came from. Are there numbers on it or do I need to take measurements? I saw kit in dennis kirk that looks identical to mine but wasnt sure which one to order. Please help if anybody can. Thanks in advance.
