  1. Epic thread...
  2. Actually I was at 4700 feet. I was at 310-25 on the jetting there.
  3. Shakar - I live in Franklin, right next to Ellsworth. How about you? I grew up here so the cold is familiar. Savage420 - that's always a good read.
  4. I just moved from high elevation in hot Arizona to sea level in cold Maine so I'm obviously going to be way lean. I have no idea where to start but am totally confident that I can tune it once I have a starting point. Like I said I'm at sea level (I live right on the ocean) and the temps have been 15-35 degrees f. Specs for the banshee are: ported jugs (I have no information about them) v force 3 reeds rz350 carbs fmf pipes k&n pods (no box) stock timing where do I start?
  5. Rule of thumb is that over 150 psi you will need more than pump gas.
  6. Move out here to AZ...
  7. What's your elevation?
  8. When you buy a filter I would strongly recommend something OTHER THAN the stock setup.
  9. I use Yamalube 2R as well...
  10. What part of Maine?
  11. I grew up in the Ellsworth/Bar Harbor area... Then I came to my senses and moved to Arizona.
  12. So if I go with the 19s and decide to venture out to Glamis it would just require burning race fuel for the weekend (and obvious rejet) correct?
  13. You think 19s would be too much?
  14. Agreed thats thinner, not stripper. Aircraft stripper is what you want.
  15. Thanks a bunch for that link. I am thinking 19s... 18s scare me. Any one else at my elevation?
  16. My Banshee is showing 110-112 psi which sounds low but I am at 4700 feet and I still have the stock head. It runs really good and has lots of power. I am thinking about getting a head for it but need some advice on what size chamber for my elevation. Most every thing I have read about has dealt with much lower elevation than mine. I want to stay on 91 octane and currently run Yamalube R2 at 32:1. Timing is currently stock and will never go more than +4.
  17. They seem to work well...
  18. I was actually wondering if they were.
  19. I just got a 2001 banshee from a guy that didn't know anything about it. This is my second Shee. The carbs that are on it look just like stock 26mm Banshee carbs but measure 28mm. They use the banshee pilot jets as well. They have definitely not been bored. Whats the deal?
