What's up Dude???
Funny thing is, Im in the same boat as you, thinking about another bike.
All my buddy's banshee are so trail friendly, and mine is not. I have ridden a few bikes that are ported with pro circuits and they are truely unbelievable trail bikes, power everywhere, so smooth and snappy. I was ridding my boys banshee all day today, aggressive trail port with worm holes, single 35 carb, procircuits,150psi stock reeds and the bike is so impressive, it was showing up some solid bikes today. I think a dune port wouldn't be as smooth and snappy in the tight trails as lets say a hot mx port would be.
2 of my riding buddys are rocking pro circuits/ aggressive trail port/ single 35 and dual 33's. Both bikes have amazing bottom end and mid range and pull very well up top, I would say that the bike with the 33's pulls harder up top..
My first ported setup was; hot mx port,T5s,v-force reeds,150 psi, stock carbs and it was nothing like these bike, the T5s come on so much later than the pro circuits, it was not as trail friendly as these bikes im speaking of, I would say that it was mainly the pipes.
I would say, dont get to wild on the porting, hot mx port/aggressive trail port, 28-30's,150psi and +4 and I wouldn't do T5s for a trail bike.
You'll have yourself a solid running sleeper, and you'll still be able to climb hills and put it down on the 4pokers.
