  1. My pred actually ran pretty good. The stock exhaust is really choked up like the YFZ450's. Once I put a slip-on and cut up the air box w/K&N it was a whole new bike. If the pred's weight was down to what the 450's are.. that would be interesting. The only complaint I had with mine was the gear ratio's needed to be closer in the 03's. But I heard they fixed that problem.
  2. GRR's Hand rolled pipes will probably be my next set.
  3. Free bump
  4. PT mids are the best pipes in my opinion for bottom and mid.. Great pipe for Trails and MX. And you dont burn your legs.
  5. If it was me I would stick with the toomeys if your happy with them. The turner mids wont have the top end that you like with the toomey's.. I can't say anything about the DMC's since I've never owned a set.
  6. I would think your fine.
  7. I was running them on my ported stock cylinder bike.... Awesome pipe!
  8. I really like my Holeshot XCR's.. 6ply and lightweight...
  9. Stock clamps wont work. And that Gibson clamp is for a anti-vibe stem. You'll have to find some 1 1/8" adapters. I'm pretty sure Trail Tech makes them and I've seen a few on ebay. I bought the TAG T2 kit for mine.
  10. From the two mentioned I prefer the NOSS head because it dosen't require longer cylinder studs. Other then that I think their almost Identical and domes interchange. I'll agree the Trinity head is nice though.. I really like the looks of the Stage IV PRO head.
  11. Thanks, I got some cubs sittin in the box next to the tool box along with a bunch of other goodies I'm throwing in.. Its gonna be a fun winter.... and even better spring...
  12. LOL She wouldn't let me bring the whole bike in... So I settled for just the engine..
  13. I just thought this was a little funny and thought I would share.... I turned my office into my winter workshop. I still can't believe she let me do it!....
  14. I think somthing is missing. RPM'S ... Torque x rpm / 5252 = horsepower or Horsepower x 5252 / rpm = torque Wouldn't a motor with the same torque with more RPM's have more power at the crank? So in theory a motor making 500 ft/lbs @5000 will not have as much HP as a motor making 500 ft/lbs @10000 RPMs. My diesel make 600 ft/lbs or torque while my camaro does about 300 ft/lbs... why is the camaro faster? RPM'S! my .02
  15. I really liked my boss intake.. Very clean..
  16. I'll second that!
  17. I was supposed to be out there sunday morning but I didn't get out of work until 4 am and I didn't feel like making a 3 hour drive so my buddies went with out me. Maybe I'll make it out this weekend as long as I get out before midnight.
  18. I just used some spacers that came with my carrier for the brake plate and shimed out the peg. Fit perfect. For the brake pedal I just stuck it in a bent it till it fit the way I wanted it.
  19. Dont have cables but I'm sure Jim at Passion or Jeff at F.A.S.T has them instock for a good price
  20. set of 35mm PWK carbs in great condition. The left carb Drain bolt was cut and welded by Duncan when I bought the carbs to clear the clutch arm if your not using reed spacers. Filters only have 1-2 hours ride time and I used Outerwears. They will come with CGK needles, 155 mains and 52 pilots. 280.00 Shipped with Filters
  21. What would make a Marvin Shaw Hill shooter shock better then a stock shock thats been completely rebuilt (spring, revalved and everything) and properly set-up for drag racing? Besides weight of the shock. I'm in the market for a rear shock and can't decide which way to go. I got a +8 swinger, I do 90% drag racing and the rest is light duning.
  22. No its only for the V-force 2 reed cages.
  23. My dealer never charged set-up or freight for the machines.. not even if we had to go and pick them up from another dealer. I always hated the old blasters, Everything was the same as the banshee except had to do the rear shock and headlight assembly plus (it wasnt a shee). We dealt Kaw, Suz, Yam, Pol, and Hon. I'll aggree that Yamaha atvs and Sleds are by far the worst to set-up. I think the worst one I've ever set-up was the 2000 Kawasaki Mules.. Them sucked ass...
  24. I worked at a dealer for about 5 yrs in the service dept. They're pretty much put together all you need to do is put the front shocks on, Tires, handle bar assembly, heel gaurds and fasten down the rear plastic, and pull the rod off that they have on to compress the rear shock for shipping. I might have forgotten a few things since its been about 4 yrs since I've worked there. It takes about 2 hours to do. But its all simple stuff. I know the dealer I worked at wouldn't let the maching go in the crate for liability and warranty reasons, and the mechanic that assembled the bike had to sign a assembly sheet from yamaha checking off what was done to the bike. But that was just the dealer I worked at I'm sure some dealers let it go in the crate.
