  1. I bought my 2 in 1 from cascade and the cable came in a package marked as a Blaster with TORS eliminator.
  2. I'm not familiar with bikes so I won't pretend to know their system. Your banshee is just like your car. It is a RECOVERY bottle system. I am an equipment mechanic, working on everything from lawnmowers to locomotives for 30 years. I know what I'm talking about. A lot of you are getting away with not running it, congrats to you. I know of guys having heat problem and after I convinced them to put it back on, NO More Problem. If you are without a recovery bottle it is physically impossible to have a completely full radiator after your bike cools. I'm talking NO AIR at all. That is what a recovery bottle does. Run it or not, it's your call. Just don't be telling people that it does nothing.
  3. I don't know where you guys come up with this NOT being a recovery bottle. If water expands and contracts, and it does, Explain to me how the coolant gets back into the radiator because every time I open my radiator, it's completely full. Those of you that take it off might get away with it, but your not doing your cooling system any favors
  4. To make a higher octane rating the oil companies use fuels that have heavier molecules. When gas starts to evaporate the lighter molecules will go first. The more that evaporates the higher the octane goes. When your gas goes bad, a lot of the problem is that the octane is so high that it can't ignite. Many people think that higher octane means it's more explosive, it's not. You use higher octane to keep your bike from pinging (exploding) I'm not sure, but I think oil also increase your octane
  5. It's simple physics, the spring is a long wire wrapped in a spiral. The longer the wire, the more flex there is at the other end. therefore the more wraps (length) you have the more flexable it is. Of course you have to figure in the wire diameter if you change to a different spring.
  6. If you don't have a bottle you'll suck in air. You need that radiator FULL. It's small
  7. I'm using the Moose aftermarket thumb throttle and that helped a lot. Then i put on a 2 into 1 last month. I don't think there is a bike out there with an easier pull now.
  8. [ The overflow bottle does'nt do anything , its there for inviromental reasons ] WRONG !!! It's there to keep your radiator completely full of coolant, No AIR. when your bike warms up and the water expands, coolant is pushed into the coolant RECOVERY bottle. As your bike cools down that coolant will be drawn back into your radiator. Keeping your radiator full, all the way to the bottom of the cap with no air. Water is 100 times better at transfering heat than air is. From his description Banshee9o9 probably has more of a problem than just a missing recovery bottle. But stop telling everyone that the coolant bottle doesn't matter! My riding buddy thought the same way until I convinced him to put it back on. He doesn't overheat anymore.
  9. You might get away with taking it off. Then again , maybe you wont. It's part of a system that is designed to keep all the air out of your radiator for the best possible cooling. Do yourself a favor and buy a bracket, or grab a piece of aluminum and make your own, like I did. Water will transfer heat 10 times faster than air
  10. You checked the level in the bottle, but have you checked the radiator. If the radiator is low it can boil and push a little bit of coolant into the bottle. Your radiator should be full. All the way to the cap
  11. It's called a coolant RECOVERY bottle , an overflow bottle only catches the overflow. If your stock banshee only had an overflow bottle it would not go back to the radiator when it cooled off. Ever notice that with a coolant recovery bottle your radiator was always full to the cap. No air in the system. Water cools your bike. Not air. Most of you have said you aren't using your bottle. Thats your call. Me, I know I'll never have a heating problem. I won't have to hang my hose over the pipes to "watch for the steam"

  13. WRONG!!! Don't listen to them, You can run without and maybe you won't have a problem. My riding partner took his bottle off and was always overheating. He put it back on and has not had a problem since. When your bike heats up it will push water into the bottle, Then when it cools down it will suck that water back to the radiator, the result is that your radiator is always full to the top with coolant. Air in your radiator is a no no. Don't beleive me? Ask your local radiator shop about it. All modern cars have a recovery system for a reason.
  14. I have a set of Wicked arms on my Shee. I love them. I wouldn't use their caster & Camber settings Though. I think I used 3 to 4 degrees of caster and 2 to 3 degrees of camber. More like the settings on the 450, it turns a lot better.
