  2. Its come that time for a 421 cub setup and my old parts are available for sale This is the bike the parts are coming off of. http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=6/17000274122.jpg&s=f5 Stock stroke, stoke bore, stock ported cylnders in excellent shape. These are the original jugs that came on the bike and still held 135psi compression before teardown. This bike has only seen klotz at 32/1 and the cylnder walls show it(In a good way ). I can honestly say that after 6 years, these jugs would just need a light hone if even that, and could go back on. They are in that good of condition. They ran perfect when pulled off. 200.00 obo Shipped http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=6/17000292733.jpg&s=f5 FMF's fatty's and power core 2 silencers which have been CHROMED . No dents, no creases. 4. Is anybody headed up to the cinders just north east of Flagstaff for memorial day?
  5. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to all that responded... turns out it was exactly what a few of you had mentioned. The coil and wires were bad,I bought new ones this morning per your advice and installed them and now she runs like a champ. This site is truly helpful and i am very appreciative of the hours of diagnosing you saved me! Thanks again!
  6. The timing is at +4 and the jetting is a stock pilot with a 180 main jet. I have tried a 175, 185 , 190 and 200 (keinn single carb) as well with no positive result. It ran the same with the exception of the 200 where it really started to miss on the top end. I am tending to think it is in the ignition like a few have you mentioned because it literally changed in the blink of a riding break on the second day. There was no change in the weather for the 15 minute break and it continues to run that way since I have brought it back here to Phoenix. Is there any specific way to check the ignition, or should i just replace the O.E box, coil and wires to see if that is the problem?
  7. OK... I was out at Glamis last weekend where the bike ran perfect for the first day and a half, on the second day, it developed a miss at wide open throttle when the bike would come on the power band. It acted like it was running rich but when I pulled the plugs
  8. Sold... Thanks for looking
  9. I just bought a Ricky 200watt Stator which came with an adjustable timing plate of which i already had on my bike. This one is brand new, never used. I think it sells for $35.00 + shipping on Ricky's website, so i'll sell it for $25.00 plus $6.00 S&H.. Pay-pal prefered, but money order's would work too Thanks
  10. I already have the bearing kit, the carrier is toast, the bearings blew out, and the balls from the bearing grooved out the carrier and the sleeve, its BAD!! There isnt any salvaging this carrier.
  11. I am in need of a Banshee 89 and up axle carrier/housing and the sleeve inside. I recently bought a used bike only to find out these were toast. Thanks
  12. Well, the bike has been running great, we got it back together but the right side cylnder was knauled to the point where it needed to be taken to .80 over. Turns out the air leak was caused by a faulty gasket on the right side intake boot. But ont thing that has me a little puzzled is that the jetting needs to be really fat. I had to jet up to 330's to get the right plug color. It ran great an entire dune weekend, but I def want to do a little more to the motor. My next question comes as this...: Since the cylnders are now at .80 over (leaving me with 2 bores left) is it worth doing a play/dune port on these jugs? or should i wait for a used set to come around and have them ported? Cubs are a little out of my price range, and port work seems to come highly recommended on this site. Is it worth re-sleeving these jugs? How much does that usually cost? I want to thank you guys for all of your input and all of your help. This site is very useful and very addicting to spend hours searching around on.

    WTB Paddles

I am looking to buy a set new or used 8 paddle Skat Trak Haulers 21x12-8. Does anyone have a set or know of a cheap place to buy them new? Thanks
  14. I just purchased a 2003 Banshee but the bike was siezed when i bought the bike (Yes i got a good deal on it ). I tore the top end apart to discover a hole was blown in the right side piston. The jug was a little scratched but it can be cleaned up. We are in the process of having the machine work done and pistons ordered, but my question comes about trying to find out why the right side was running lean. The jetting was stock, and the only mods done to the bike were a set of FMF fatty's and a K&N air cleaner. The right side jug and piston looked perfect, but the right was destroyed. I am planning on trying to do a leak down test when I get it back together, but is there a common area on these Banshees that likes to form air leaks that i can possibly fix upon reassembly? What jetting should i run on this bike with the FMF's. The primary riding will be in the dunes which are around sea level. And again the same jetting question for when i ride up north where the elevation is around 7000ft! Thanks
