  1. No, none of the bearings/bushings are large enough for that.
  2. Truthfully....I'm not real sure. I never took apart my old linkage to do a comparison of what the kit provides....
  3. No, the bearing kit is for the rear shock linkage. Before I sold my banshee, mine was uber-squeaky.....
  4. Toomey Hush Kit & PivotWorks Linkage Bearing Kit for sale. The hush kit has a few rides on it and some light surface rust on the chrome and scuff on the aluminum (I am sure both could be buffed out). This is the model with the spark arrestor. These typically run about 190-200 new. Asking $100 plus shipping and Paypal fees, or best offer. The pivotworks bearing kit is brand new and unopened. I meant to replace my squeaky bearings on my banshee, but sold if before I ever got to. This is part number PWLK-Y03-000. Cheapest I found is about $60 bucks shipped on ebay. Looks like it will fit in a small flat rate box. How does $47 shipped sound (shipping and paypal fees included), or best offer.
  5. Looking to trade my 01 Banshee for a 4 stroke - raptor, 400ex, etc. etc. I need something that I can trail ride with a bit more. The shee runs great, just a bit much for hollister, prairie city, etc. Coolhead with 21cc domes +5mm longrod crank 10 hours on new top end 30mm carbs - clamp on K&Ns/outerwears poly carb boots V3 reed blocks twist throttle T-6 pipes/silencers aluminum water pump impeller tusk clutch set of paddles - still have stock front/rear tires I'll try and get pics tonight Located in Gilroy CA - San Francisco Bay Area brandontolentino@yahoo.com
  6. is that 10 dollars for all the jets??? Keihin or Mikuni?
  7. would like pics.... brandontolentino@yahoo.com
  8. do you have stock front pipe hangers in good condition?
  9. I understand that no one can get it exactly. I am just wondering what jet ranges I should buy to have a good choice to jet with.... DOn't worry....the boost bottle is now long gone.... OKO is a keihin style carb.
  10. Hey guys, Here is my current setup: TR-6's 30mm OKO's K&N clamp ons V-force 2's 21cc domes sea-level +4 timing I bought it from the previous owner with this setup (added the noss head myself). Unfortunately it looks like the boost bottle caused the intake to crack and the right cylinder to run lean and blow. So I am currently replacing the crank and pistons (to a 5mm longrod stock stroke setup). I need some advice on which pilots and mains I should buy so that I have enough to get the jetting correct. Any ideas on a good range to purchase?
  11. Need the front pipe hangers.....stock will work....or aftermarket.
  12. I have read that the hot rods cranks have been giving out in high HP motors, but what exactly is high HP. What is the cutoff for needing upgraded bearings? I have heard that the 4 mil longrod from hot rods is already fully welded....
  13. Yeah, I am definitely going with a new crank. I am just wondering if it's necessary to get the upgraded bearings.... ....and if so, where the best place to get the whole setup is. I need to get this thing running pretty darn soon!
  14. What elevation are you at??? http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm Maybe your compression tester is not 100% accurate?
  15. I just spoke with the people at Inland ATV, and they were saying that the hot rods 4mm stroker long rod crank already has a TZ bearing installed. Is that true??????
  16. I have read a lot of posts on the stroker/long rod setups. Will I be able to run a stroker longrod without getting my top end ported? I already have to spend close to 700 to get it running, and am on a bit of a budget right now. Would it run horribly if I didn't have it ported?
  17. Hey Guys, I tore into my shee this weekend cause the compression was low in one cylinder. Low and behold, I found that a ring broke and played havoc on my piston and cylinder head. To boot, the rod has a lot of side to side play (like 1/8"+) on the crank. I think the crack in the intake from the boost bottle caused a lean condition in the right cylinder....damn boost bottles. So, I need to bore my cylinders and get new pistons and rings, and I am looking into fixing my crank. Recently I have heard of problems with Hot Rods cranks coming apart. I also know that Tony Doukas racing offers rebuilt cranks for about $350. What is better to go: rebuilt or hot rods crank? Also, anyone know a good machine shop in the south bay area??? Thanks!
