  1. originally our group was going to pismo, but now we are meeting with another group and making it out to glamis, im so excited its going to be my first time! i think were camping somewhere around gecko. good luck to everyone and have a safe and fun holliday!
  2. Porting is done in your cylinders, it makes the ports bigger so you can get more air in and more exaust out. I use fmf fatty's for my exaust, they work fine, a huge difference over stock, but ive never run toomey's.
  3. looks cool, is this like those chinese 50's? who makes them?
  4. do you really have to split the case? couldnt you just flip it up on its a$$ and just drill it out and re-tap?
  5. I would just take it apart look at it, and then order the parts you need. As for the size of the piston, you should just take it out and measure it with a caliper if you cant find any numbers on it.
  6. that site is way better then before, good job! and have a fun and safe holliday.
  7. I say you cutt them, it just doesnt look right to me with the fullbores and a full rear fender. just my $.02
  8. agree, im not mexican but i do have respect from working with them. just from working with my experience, mexicans do all the jobs that most people do not want to do. They are the majority of the manual work force. Work 2 jobs just to send money back home. in my opinion, they are a huge work force in america, and who would work there jobs if they were not allowed to work here?
  9. it was running before, but if the pick up gap is wrong, wouldnt both cylinders not spark? i checked the plugs, and switched the right and left with no change, the left side just does not spark. is it okay to switch the spark plug wires? or do the spark at different intervals?
  10. you dont want to use the jaw type, you need one that screws in the center, then you hold it well you screw a stud down, and then boom it comes off!
  11. you dont have to buy a new kit, just a new filter from k&n, i cant remeber the part number though
  12. anyone know where to start, i have to have it running in a week for my trip to the dunes. any sugestions are well apreciated
  13. you need to get a puller, you can get it from a local dealer, or off the internet, there like $10 i think, but to get the nut off, you either have to use an impact wrench or get one of those strap wrench's to hold the flywheel while you spin the nut.
  14. I just put my timming plate on and adjusted the gap, now when it runs it feels like hardly any exaust is comming out of the left side, so i pulled the plugs, and i dont ever see the left side spark? any ideas what could be wrong? and if there is no spark, why does exaust still come out the left side? thanks in advance
  15. where the case splits
  16. I put the 320's in and it ran a little ritch, but i havnt installed the timing plate yet. it started on the 2nd kick, i ran it around the yard a little bit, but it wouldnt idle. i turned it off, and went to start it again and it would not start, gave it a little gas while i kicked it and it started up but again wouldnt idle. does this mean i need to increase the pilot jet? or just adjust the needle. i have the needle in the stock position right now, but i also just got a set of dyno jet needles that I need to install. any recomendations are much apreciated
  17. im about to install my ricky stator timing plate and advace my timing 4degrees. do i have to replace the gasket on the left crank case cover? and any instation tips would be helpfull. thanks
  18. 2003 banshee, k&n pro flow with no box, fmf fatties with titanium 2 silencers, cool head with 19cc domes running 100 octane, 4 degree timing advance plate, and sea level 60-70 degrees. i just rebuilt my motor and added the cool head and timing plate, was running a 300 main with 27.5 pilot needle in the stock position. thanks for your help in advance.
  19. thanks everyone, i think i just got a little impatient last night. this morning they sliped right on after i lined the rings up. thanks agian
  20. anyone know where I could find a coors light graphic kit?
  21. 21-7-10
  22. would it be a bad idea to put some premix oil on the rings and piston to help slide it in?
  23. yea, i just took it to the local machine shop and had them do it, you drill a hole in the side of the carb, and then tap it and install the idle screws. I didnt want to try myself and mess the carbs up.
  24. they always seem to know how to ruin a good time! they need to go bother the people being reckless and dangerous and leave the people who are trying to chill and have a good time alone. ive never been cited, but have been botherd many times for the smallest things. it always seems like when you get stoped for something stupid, someone is doing something way worse right next to you in front of the ranger.
  25. nice, definetly one of the better kits for sale!!
