Whats up guys,
I was suppose to go riding today w fasstbanshee in NH but because of work I had to bail out. I did however decide to check the fluids, grease her up etc. First, I started her up and let her run for a couple minutes. Second, I checked the oil and to my amazement it was a milky white color? At first I guessed maybe alittle water got into the case because my last ride was very wet to say the least. So i changed the oil ran it for a minute, and repeated this 2 times. The oil color seemed to be getting back to normal so I stopped and figured I would check it again tomorrow.
When I checked it again today it was very milky again? I also noticed a small drip of antifreeze and oil under the bike. Figured it was spillage from changes the oil twice yesterday, but why the antifreeze? I checked the anti freeze and it was low. Im guessing the water that I had originally thought was in the oil is actually antifreez? Not good right? Is it safe to assume the head gasket needs to be replaced? Would a compression check be a safe way to figure out if this is the problem?????
I did a search but came up short which Im suprised about because I know I've read about this problem somewhere?
Thanks
Peter
