  1. Thanks - for the tips ---- i will continue to troubleshoot and when I find it I will document it for ALL.... I just took them all apart to set the float heights and make sure the float needle was good. I even changed the needle and cylinder it fits into and no difference. Checked the main jets but NOT the pilots...back to the carbs for now. Thanks.....
  2. Are you referrring to the float needle or the slide needle? Thanks for the tips....I will check it out
  3. The electrical possibilty throws me because I switched plug wires and it was the same. What type of wiring would be to the carbs seperately? It is like the load is to heavy and there is no spark in the cylinder like when it is out. Got a buddy that has a plug extension to test it... Going to check stator and wiring to verify all is good too. More to follow.....????????
  4. Thanks - I will check everything this weekend...going to test load on the coil. Not sure if there is a firing order and the coil is to weak for side 2. Also - I have a bit of a stupid question, should the slides in the carbs be set at the same level...Common sense says yes but you never know. Thanks again... Keep me posted if you figure it out.
  5. Bump Looks like a few Banshees out there are experiencing the same symptoms??? Advice and assistance needed,,,,I really do not want to miss another ride.
  6. I have a set of Blingstars, they are awesome and very strong....
  7. I have the same problem? Just finished winter top end...and other mods for the season. - New reed pedals (V Force Reeds) - Carbs completly takin apart and cleaned... - swapped plug wires - no difference still issues on left side, pulled plug and verified spark - the piston on the left has NO burn marks like the right side - Floats are set at 21mm - Jets cleaned and clear - reeds and plug soaking wet but that maybe because it is not burning off do to not firing Can it be a firing issue under a load???? Can the coil be worn out? Please let me know if you figure this one out,,,,I want to ride.
  8. I got to get a set of these, sure wish they had orange. I guess black will do.
  9. Last thing to check is compression ,,, doing that this weekend... Does anyone know what and if there is a firing order??? Going to check load on coil too...to see if it may be worn out.
  10. Calling for some advice from all the Banshee mechanics out there???
  11. 2000 Shee with a fresh top end...28mm Mikuni carbs no tors...    I did a top end over the winter...The left side fires at the plug but, I just pulled the head off again and there is no burn marks like the right side... It barely has anything coming out of the silencer...the pipe never gets hot??? Swapped wires to plugs - no coil issue??? Took carbs apart again and measured the floats (21mm from carb base at gasket line (gasket off) and checked the needle,,,no problems found??? The plug and reeds (VForce - brand new pedals) are saturated with fuel....it is just not firing in the cylinder??? ANY AND ALL ADVICE APPRECIATED,,,,I AM READY TO RIDE AND DO NOT WANT TO MISS ANY TRIPS... :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

  17. This is no big deal, drop the bowl then remove the float and you will see a needle there that will need to be wiped off. The needle needs to move freely so the float will work properly.
