My bolt broke when I came up short on a double... the Banshee flipped and landed on the nerf bar first... broke the nerf bar and bolt all at the same time. I would like to retap but after drilling out the leftover bolt there isnt much metal left to retap. It is hollow inside the bolt hole. The wall there looks fairly thin in my opinion and would prob. just strip again soon.

Why is the OEM stator twice the price of a Ricky Stator one? is it that much better or just more $$$$ because its made by Yamaha How many years / hours or used is common for a stator? I think mine is gone.... it is really cutting out under load, ... the only confusing thing is that both carbs seem to be overflowing alot now too... at the same time. I find it hard to believe that both floats are sticking at same time. Thanks.

I have a Durablue on the Banshee and a Lonestar on the Honda 250R and havent had a problem with either.... and I have raced the MX Nationals for years.

Thanks for all the info... ke398, do you have any pics of what it looks like after you weld the nut and washer? I stopped by the cycle shop today and they advised once it has stripped out to do something such as that and weld a nut on it... That would be the strongest. As far as looks are concerned, I dont plan on selling my Banshee so I dont care if it doesnt look exactly factory.

I had a bad wreck on my Banshee a few years ago when I was racing the MX nationals and the front bolt on the shifter side peg broke off... I was able to drill out the bolt but the threads are totally wasted.... what should I do now? What is the best way to repair this? Thanks...

I used to have the same setup... I am in Georgia so the weather may be dif. here... but I had LRD and no lid... I used 310 main jets in stock carbs... Hope that helps...

Thank you Rare, yes the key was removed so long ago I had forgotten all about it.... I will ground the wire Also... are all the solid black wires ground? Thanks

I am working on a 1996 Banshee and there is a red wire coming out of the box behind the seat that ends under the gas tank... this wire looks like it is broken... does anybody know what this wire is supposed to connect to? Thanks
