i had the same problem... burn all your fuel off, make shure your case is empty, stand your banshee up on end. then buy some J.B Weld, there is two tubes, mix the two together, or at least the ammount you plan on using. then before you apply it, grab an old shop towell and pour a lil bit of rubbing alcohol on it and wipe and clean the area where the drain plug is. also go buy a drain plug from somewhere make shure you buy the one that has a drain plug iside it. so its like a plug that has a plug within it. screw the plug in all the way tight then j.b. weld it on there. and youll still have a drain plug which is inside the new plug,

that screw on top of your t.o.r.s. is the slide height adjustment. it raises and lowers your slides(black tubes w/crescent outlet on back). whcih are connected the your throttle cable.. you have a little clear window on the side of your carbs. when you push the throttle you can see your slides moving up and down inside your carbs if you look thru the window. there is a silver piece that will appear in the window when your nobs are set right i think the silver thing shoud be visible at 0 throttle but then again im not shure . it might be 1/4 or 1/2 throttle just make shure you adjust them both the same once you get them equall, make sure they raise and lower at exactly the same time.... youll have to take oof your air box..

something weird happened to me today,.. i switched my fuel from on to res. and what do ya know gas started pouring out the hoses that run off the sides of your carbs on both sides.. i turned it back to on and it stoped, ? what could have made it do that. i did it again and it didnt happen this time...

okso 300-310 or so main 4thclip on the needle twards the bottom and what actual size would you say on the pilot.. thanks alot you guys are awesome
-
yeah your correct, its around 80, maybe 76 cause its getting cooler, but its not the toomy needles anyore. thayre pink lookin needles, i got them from vitos. they look a lot different than the ones i took out. and im not shure if it was toomy needles to begin with. all i know is that thayre silver and kinda slim compared to the vito ones

i have t5's with k&n pod filters i was wanting to know which size jets. i got the kit from vitos. it came wiht 280's and 300's.. i was thinking the 300's with the clip at the 4th one from the top. also i noticed one of the needles are barely bent like more of a ding in it instead of a bend near the tip. so how could that affect it.. i mean its not much of a dent but its enough to notice, its just i figured it would be ok since it still went down in the hole straight

just removed t.o.r.s. need helo

should i have the clip set at the fourth one from the top of the needle and a 300main jet.. if i am running t5's,k&n pods,...i might need to rejet it, but i really think its the brass idle screws on the carbs or the throttle cable... im gonna have my friend mess with it becauuse i f**k stuff up. now it seem like its not idling at all ,if i let off the throttle and let it idle on its own it will fall on its face... -

haha, i'd rather shat then go blind. its not the choke , i think ill try the cable like ya said, it just seems like its reving higher than normal and staying hung. kinda like when i start my car, it idles high for about 4 minutes then drops to about 800-1000rps, i mean i know it revs up when you first start it cold but it should stop after about two min right... also off the top of your head does anyonw know what size the hoses on the carbs are... -
ok, i got the t.o.r.s. removal kit from vito's. the only thing is, i have a problem with it idling pretty high once i start it. and usually i will have a hard time starting it, like kick it for about 10min. before it seems to start kickin over. personally i didnt install the kit myself but i think it has something to do with the throttle cbl. because it seems alot stiffer than before , but i mean it sounds good and runs ok other than the idling real high, and kicking it alot to start it,, and suggestions...? sorry for posting before doing any research, but i kinda need ansewrs fast cuz, im at work.. thanks

ok, so you mean i need to try to sync the slides now, even with tors on them. before i take them apart and install the kit, or do i sync the carbs with the new idle kit..?

stock motor with T.O.R.S
MonoxideChild420 replied to MonoxideChild420's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
ok. so then what was the kit i bought that has two custom needles to prevent high end burn downs or something like that..? -
ok, so i went and bought a (T.O.R.S.) eliminator kit from vitos,i bout the$50.00 kit. which is the caps, cable, and idle kit. also i bout some jet kit,and i didnt know if one was enough so i bought some other kit to, for modded air boxes. it said two needles for preventing burn downs.. and the first one i bought was some kind of jet kit. i also bought some fule line tubing, some pipe connecting clamps and a kickstarter rebuild kit, i know most of this stuff is irrelivant, but should i have enough to rebuild the carbs and install the (T.O.R.S) kit..?

stock motor with T.O.R.S
MonoxideChild420 replied to MonoxideChild420's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
ok .so i turn my air screw two full turns from being fully sewted, then i turn my T.O.R.S. screws three full turns out, from being fully seated.. allright ill try this tomorrow. also. i dont know if you have any knowledge about the T.O.R.S. eliminator kit, but i bought one from vitos performance.com and also i bought about a few foot of clear blue fuel hosing, and i didnt know if one jet kit would be enough for both carbs so i bout one extra..and i was wondering if this is enough to rebuild the carbs and hook up the kit..? -
i ordered my T.O.R.S. eliminator kit,, and also i ordered some other things from vitos, such as fuel line, and i ordered like two jet kits . shouldnt that be enough to redo the carbs after i eliminate tors, i got the kit that came with the caps-cable-and idle kit..what else should i get

come on.....anyone? -
i had tha shit right on pretty much, but i tried tweakin it some more because for some reason it would hold its revs for a few seconds after i revved it... i feel stupid now cause it was right on the money pretty much, besides a lil hesitation... at first rev...and then holding the rev for like 3 sec...
-
does yours kinda stay revved for a second longer... just wondering..
