  1. Magic Racing has the whole kit for $79.99...not too shabby!
  2. I don't want to hijack anyone's post, so make sure you offer to tOj first. If he declines the offer or gets a set, let me know what you have. I hope this makes sense. -Mike [email protected]
  3. That might just be worth the trip....if I can't find one in town. I'll PM him.
  4. Does anyone in or around Denver have a stock silencer sitting around? I'm taking out my "new" Banshee this weekend, but the previous owner took out the spark arrestors...I actually only need one, he lost the other. I'd hate to get busted...but more-so I'd rather not start a forest fire. If you have something, I really just need it for the weekend....please help! -Mike [email protected]
  5. Sorry I didn't get back to this post... I went ahead with the '99 Banshee. I think the hesitation is from two things, one...I didn't let it warm up enough, and two...the guy had a fuel stabilizer in it from the previous winter. I drained out the fuel and put in some fresh premium with Yamalube (thats what he had for me). It ran great after that! Thanks for the help...and I'm already putting this great site to use. There's a ton of knowledge here! -Mike
  6. Ok, before I install these it looks like I should pick up a K&N of some sort (I'm leaning toward duals) and a TORS removal kit to make things easier on me. I've never seen anyone around that would bust me for my silencers, so I might be okay with T5s or something...maybe I'll keep the stockers around just in case. Do the T5s and most FMFs have spark arrestors in them? Its dry as a bone here, and I'd rather not take the chance. Thanks again for the info! -Mike
  7. I figured its worth a try. I saw someone selling graphics from Skin Inc. on e-bay...full set with seat cover for $75. I guess $130 or whatever it was isn't too bad for the set from Alba.
  8. Thats kind of what I thought....bummer. I guess I'll throw my graphics on and spray the fenders with a little Armor All or something. -Mike
  9. How about T-6 silencers? I also will be riding in some forestry areas, and would rather not get busted...and suggestions there? Temp is usually 70-80s, high elevations...8000' or so. I live in Denver, so I even start out at a high elevation, and ride in the mountains. I will also do some riding in Moab, UT...not sure of the elevation there, but temps in the 80-90s in the daytime. Yep, stock airbox for now....but plan on adding dual K&Ns with covers on them. -Mike
  10. Anyone know the best place to get these graphics? (other than at the Alba webiste) I'm trying to save a couple bucks if I can. -Mike
  11. I'm going to throw some Alba graphics on my 'Shee one of these days, and I thought I'd get the scratches off my fenders first. I heard of this stuff called Plastic Restore...anyone use it yet? (I think Dennis Kirk sells it) If its a pain to use, forget it...I just thoght I'd freshen up the plastic that the graphics don't cover. I heard of another type that you have to wet sand your fenders first...then the stuff wears off leaving fenders worse than before. I'm hoping this stuff is different. -Mike
  12. I just picked up some FMF fatties for my stock Banshee. These are used, but look decent...and way better than stock! I need silencers, but I hear I HAVE to use FMF silencers...is that correct? Also, what else do I need to make the 'shee run right with the new pipes? Eventually, I'd like reeds, dual K&Ns...and whatever else comes with them. I'm trying to stay pretty mild as you can see. I'm just not sure if I can bolt up the exhaust and ride that way....or do I need to have a combination of mods to make everything work together. I'm trying to search this stuff out, but not having much luck. Any help you be great! -Mike
  13. I just picked up a set of FMF Fatty pipes for my Banshee. I need some silencers so I can get them mounted up. The pipes are used, so a few scratches aren't going to be a problem. Let me know what you have! -Mike [email protected]
  14. Just thought I'd say thanks for the info on purchasing my Banshee. I checked out a few, but ended up going with a '99 stocker thats in pretty good shape. The hours are pretty low, and everything works as new. I think I'll just get used to the power I have for now...then go mild, pipe and everything that goes with it. Thanks again for the help. If anyone knows of a good deal on some pipes around Denver, let me know. For now, does anyone have a set of stock silencers sitting around? The only thing missing from my 'Shee is the inside of the silencers...I'll be riding in forestry areas, and I'd rather not get busted! -Mike Arvada, CO
  15. I just noticed that this site seems to have tons of info, so I thought I'd join in! I've got a couple questions on buying my first Banshee (currently riding a Warrior). First of all, there isn't much to choose from around here right now...I managed to find a '99 that is totally stock other than a set of tires and rims (stockers are included). Looks to be in good shape, just typical scratches on plastic, never rolled though. My concern is that it has some serious hesitation. I had to hit the throttle a couple times to get it up and going...after in gear and running, it went like crazy though. Thinking back, we didn't really let it warm up...do these things need a few minutes before they run well? Other than that, the 'shee looks like a decent ride. His bottom dollar is $2500. After looking around...and not finding much of anything to compare with, it seems like a reasonable price. What do you think? I checked out the link to tips on buying a Banshee, so if I go back, I'll hit all those areas as well. Any help here would be great!! Thanks. -Mike
