I've got some FMF Fatties in good shape. I'm looking for $100. I'm in Colorado near Denver.

Ok, pics will be sent a little later tonight when I get home. -Mike

These are in nice shape. A small ding on one pipe. They polished up pretty nice, not like new, but they do have shine to them. Nothing else to say... $110...I pay shipping. If they don't sell by Saturday, its e-bay time. e-mail for pics. [email protected] -Mike Arvada, CO

Looks nice...but I also have the plastc relocator, in the forn of three zip ties! If you need extra plugs, throw them in where the tools go.

Ok...I ran with the 142.5 this weekend...and needle on the middle I think it was. It ran pretty well in the garage, and started out dencent on the trail (a friend was riding it). At the first fairly big hill, it just flat out wouldn't climb! No popping or anything, just no power. This was at about 8500 feet. So, almost went back to the truck, but decided to go for it and ride a while longer. After almost an hour of riding (slowly)...here comes my friend almost passing me. We stop, and its running like a champ! Not tons of power, but decent for a Warrior. The whole rest of the ride, it ran great. I'm guessing it was an electrical issue. Now I don't know if I should just sell it off to the guy that wanted it...or ride it a few more times, just in case it starts acting up again (don't want to screw anyone over on the sale). Anyway, its running pretty well....a touch rich right now, but I might just leave it alone unless it starts fouling plugs. -Mike

Ok, I took her out on a little trip this weekend. It ran pretty well, but not perfect. Still a little touchy at low throttle (ok...makes sense to go back to middle clip on needle). It was also a trying to bog out a bit...I was at a pretty high elevation. I think I'll go to the 260 main, go to the middle clip, and give 'er hell! I gotta say, when I do get the powerband kicked in nicely, it screams! I'll try this and see what happens. Thanks again for all the hlep!

Check this one out... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DRINK-HOLDE...1QQcmdZViewItem I guess it would work fine on that Honda....not sure how I could ride a Banshee without losing everything in the can! When I stop for a break, my hand is my beer holder...so not sure who needs this. Funny though.

Ok, pulled the jet...its was a 132.5. I went up to a 142.5, and its much better! It now has a little hesitation at low throttle. I dropped to needle to the bottom notch (was one above that), and it helped very little. Its rideable now, but a little annoying to be hesitant like that. Its almost perfect if you pull the choke just a touch. Does that help?? I tried the air screw, but that didn't make a difference, so went back to where I started on that. I was told it could be the pilot jet...any ideas??? Thanks again!

Ok... I dropped the 270s back in, it seemed to run better with them. Also I ride at higher altitudes than my house, so I thought the leaner one would be better...is that right? I checked the needle and I was one above the middle notch. I dropped to the one below the middle notch. Seems to run pretty well now. Just a little touchy on the throttle, then smoothes out at about half throttle. It picks up fine, but just doesn't seem to pull quite right at lower speeds. Maybe I'll try the middle notch and see if that gets me there...or the lowest notch? Plug is pretty good, a little on the grey side of chocolate...is that ok? Seems like this is coming together! AND...Man this is a new machine! It wants to lift the tires in first, second, and third...haven't been past there.

Ok, 270 jets were in...took it around the block, and its not as good as I'd like it to be. Plug looked a little on the light side, so I dropped in a 280 jet. The plug is good now, but its really hesitant from idle to about 3/4 throttle. I guess thats a needle problem then?? I'll try to adjust that and see what happens. I'm guessing its a little lean, so I'll go that way first. Seems like there wasn't too much difference in the 270 and 280....which one would be better at higher altitudes? I don't ride here in the neighborhood much I did manage to get one carb top off...I'll try the other now I guess.
-
Ok...I'll give it a try.
-
Ok...went to the 290. Seems to be a little too rich, plug is pretty black. Runs decent, but a little hesitant at times. I think the 270 sounds right...I'll try tomorrow and see what happens. One thing, I can't get the tops off the carbs. (yes, I took the retainer off!) I still have the TORS, so I really have to get them off sometime. Any suggestions?? I even got the pipe wrench out, but no luck.

Offers??

Well, being that you're only a few miles away...I'll give your suggestion a try! I'm picking up some jets tomorrow, so I'll buy a couple and see what happens. Not sure when I'll make it to Walden...probably not this year though. I need some paddles for the Banshee. I have some Blackwaters that will probably get me around, but if I'm going to do it....I want to do it right! Thanks again!!

Thanks for all the info!! I'll try to rejet this weekend. I was a little hesitant to do that, being the plug still looks fine. Maybe I'm not running it long enough to burn it up. I figured something was running too hot when the exhaust turned red. Thanks again...I'll update after the rejetting.

I'll give both those a try and see wht works best. Yeah...$6 sounded a little steep. I think I'll make a couple more phone calls!

I bought the machine at the start of last year, exactly as it sits. It maybe ran a little lean, and popped a little when I ran it then. Now its not ridable...can't get any speed going. I guess it could be that he never re-jetted when he put the exhaust on. I thought he said he had it tuned in at the shop a year before I bought it. How do I tell what size the jets are??

About the time I'm ready to sell the 'ol Warrior, it decides to start running like crap. It ran fine last year...a little popping now and then, but I figured its the White Bro's pipe...its loud! Well, now it idles fine, but pops and bogs when under heavy throttle. I cleaned the carb out a few times and got it running better. It idles perfect now, runs great up to about half or three quarters throttle...then pop pop pop... I checked the parking brake safety thing (even though the parking brake is gone) and it doesn't make a difference if its unplugged or not. I'm sure it is not that, being it runs fine to about half throttle. After the last carb cleaning with lots of carb cleaner used, it ran pretty decent. I let it idle for a while to burn up all the cleaner, then gave it a little throttle. It was better, pumped the throttle a couple times (a few pops, but I kept going), then went WOT. After doing that a couple times, I look down and the exhaust is cherry red!! I've never noticed this before and I can't imagine it is normal. I checked the plug after that, and its pretty good...a little dark if anything. It does seem a little louder this year, but I'm sure its just me being used to my stock Banshee exhaust. Any help would be great!! FYI-- stock engine, carbs, K&N in slightly vented box, White Bros pipe, Roost Boost, and thats about it....its an '87 model. -Mike

First of...sorry to post yet ANOTHER jetting question. I searched and didn't quite find what I need. Also, this is my first time inside a carb. From stock, I just installed FMF Fatties/Powercore 2's/K&N pods....Now its time to rejet. I read some on how to change for the pods, and how to change for the pipes, but nothing on the combo. Here's where I am at... Currently stock jetting (ran decent, but not perfect), house is at 5000-6000 altitude (whatever Denver is), and usually ride at 7000-8000 altitude and 60-70 degrees. I was told to start with something like a 310 main, but didn't get much about the pilot. What would the stock pilot be? The dealer sells all the jets seperately, so I guess if I get a ballpark I can get a couple above and below to tune in until I get it. (at $6/ea, I guess I can get a couple) Or is it worth buying a "jet kit". I did read the post-its on the subject, and that really helped...but I guess I just need somewhere to start. Thanks. -Mike

Looks like I found my next mod....after my pipes, K&N, and jets. I guess I better keep my eye out. OR...get one for the Blaster and let my wife tote my stuff around! Actually, I'll probably end up with one on each...sounds like a nice setup. -Mike

I picked these up, then found a steal on a set of pipes and silencers that had one run on them. This set was a little tarnished when I got them. I polished them up pretty well, and they are ready to bolt up. Just the pipes, no silencers. They do have one small ding in the bottom of one pipe. These pics are from when I bought the pipes. This is before the polishing. I will have new pics tomorrow if you're interested. $150 shipped. -Mike [email protected]

I'm looking into getting one for my Banshee and Blaster, but I'm not sure if they are any good. Do they get in the way? It looks like it would be aweful close to the exhaust! Anyone have and opinion on these things? -Mike BTW--I searched this, but only found ads for them for sale...
-
Lets see what you have...I'm sure someone has a dusty set sitting in the garage! Any year will work, as long as they don't leak. -Mike [email protected]

I know this is BansheeHQ, but I can't seem to find a decent site for Blaster info. I took out my wife's Blaster today and I have to agree with everyone about the stock suspension...its decent at best. She has commented on how smooth my Banshee rides, but I guess I thought she meant the engine. (her's is a 250cc Trinity engine, so its a little jumpy) I've heard that I can use Banshee shocks on the front of the Blaster...any truth to that? Also I've heard I can use a 250R rear shock on the blaster...?? (what year 250r?) How about extended swingarm...does it help the ride? I'd like to know if this is true and if it helps the Blaster's ride. Also if anyone knows of a good Blaster site...let me know. Thanks. -Mike

I think I saw a set on e-bay recently..
