WORD if you have sorted the suspension and such you will never get hold of a better duner.... the thing with banshee is - its a cult thing. no matter how good the or how how good the fuel efficiency is of the 450, a shee rips best and THAT RIP when the band kicks in, can not be replaced by any other motor - just my 2 cents

i think if they updated the shees suspension and brakes and fiddled a bit with the engine, no other bike will sell.... in any event, its definitely the tree huggers - look at motoGP - thats also changed to 4 strokes

thought this shit was history in the states?? we in africa have the same shit on a daily basis. we are called settlers (from europe, 4 decades back...) so in actual fact we are as much african as they are, for 4-5 generations at least. like mr Mugabe in zimbabwe calling America and Europe this and that, but still they use cars build in these places, they wear clothes tailerod in these places, technology invented etc etc. Yet they say the are "independent" and dont need the white man??? A country becomes independent and they screw it over in 10-15 years max! it is estimated that 65% of adults in Zimbabwe are HIV +! and those are only the ones tested! but now they do not have the required chemicals to do hIV testing any longer as their brain dead president keeps on screwing them over. people are starving here at the hand of their own black leader but they still blame it on the white man?? Yes sounds right if new. Mine cost R3300.00 including a dura blue airfilter, new jets - all fitted. Leaves a lot of money to buy two stroke and gas!!! How much is TTS your side? No i havent done the desert run, but have seen the guys riding here - wish that they would behave as the group of 800 riders came here and screwed everything up, as now the auth are giving the locals shit as well. The desrt run gyus rode in protected areas and screwed the wildlife etc...would be fun to do though - not on a shee - shee is not build for long staights going WOT the whole time.

i forgot - i have PC fitted and they rip!! wouldnt go for anything else except T5's. you will be amazed by the increase in power once you have those pipes fitted!! and post those pics.

IMO for our dunes etc the T5's are the best pipe. they are however very expensive to buy is South Africia or Namibia as they have to be imported from the states and are subject to the ROE. On the HQ, i have been advised that the PC have nive mid range power and the T5 are more top end - as such for MX and trail riding wud think the PC are the best way to go. get a used set if you can (very rare), really expensive when buying new. we also run 40:1 TTS and that is our norm. TTS also the only decent oil available to us. R 84.00 per liter. how does it compare to you guys? and yes, the bike shud pull better with leaner mix as it is now getting more fuel per measurement burned.

youre from SA right? If so, buy Castrol TTS and run 32:1 to run the shee in and after that 40:1. make sure the jetting is good. go to the jetting forum..

if stock with pipes filter and bigger jets - mines gies me about 30 miles...that nailing it
