I bought one of those "bolt on" ones. Nothing fit right. All specs were off. especially where it bolted to the ale carrier. Came apart. My replacement I got from a shithole Illegal Alien shop here in San Diego. Looked sweet. Was made like shit. Way too thin tubing. Came apart near the pivot area. Next one was a replacemnet from the same shop. I got the rear shock revalved to prevent snaping. (the guy says that's why it broke even though he told me a stocker would be fine when I first bought it) Well, this one broke too. Same spot. I had a friend weld up some gussets. The torch was burning right through the tubing it was so thin. He eventually patched the thing up and has lasted through this summer.

Only problem, I've put 25lbs on my own fat ass in the last few months. I'm about to drill holes in my frame to make up for it!

get rid of: front fenders, rear plastic, front bumper, heel guards, skid plate, parking brake, TORS, brake light, airbox, coolant resevoir, stock handle bars. I'm sure there's more. that there is some weight. I've taken all that crap off.

+4 is great. You can stay with the stock shock too. Get a swingarm that is strong! Thick walls and gussets. Even though you are light, a weak arm can come apart. believe me, I know. I've gone through 3 fuckin arms! I don't reccomend the "bolt on" version. I had one. It sucked. Go with the round housing.

Make sure to pick up your garbage! Not so much the duners. Make sure to help out the kooks, visitors, spectators, etc to pick up their beer bottles and cans. Olds is starting to look like Comp!

I believe Black Label is the strongest/heaviest. Blue Lable is the weakest/lightest. Red is in the middle. Most i know in the dunes run Blue Label

I want to wash down the bike really well. I have the clamp on K&Ns. I'd like to take off the filters and cover the carb openings to hose the shit out of this thing. What do any of you guys do/use to block water? I figure the clamps would be good to cinch down something.
