  1. For the big peices I made card board cut outs then copied them on to the sheet metal and cut it all on a bandsaw. Pretty easy just a little time consuming.
  2. Best I can do right now. Can't get my hi rez pics up on this site very easily. I'll post more when im done.
  3. Here's a little project ive been working on. Boxed arms, about 80% complete. They cycle 14in of wheel travel.
  4. Shipped them back to elka got them back today. Fixed under warranty, thanx to Yann at elka. Excellent customer service.
  5. I bought these 6 months ago only 2 rides on them so far. I put the quad in storage in June and yesterday took it out. One of the rezzies turned a maroon color. Whats up with this!
  6. The damn link didn't show up! This is the place. http://hm-engineering.com/

    Uniballs

Anyone know who would sell a quad size uniball like 5/8 or 3/4? I've been hearing of people using them on quads recently but who makes the uniballs.
  9. If you can weld do the conversion your self. Its not very hard just takes a little time.
  10. no I haven't had the time to work on the quad, I left it at my cabin anyway. When I get a carrier for that 500 axle I'll bring the quad home and finally try to finish it. I need the whole rear end off of it so I can put my stock banshee back together and sell it.
  11. I don't think he has a lt500 carrier conversion. Ya stock quadzilla axle is aluminum and the chain adjustment is a pain in the ass.
  12. Anybody make a round house carrier? I have complete axle all hubs and nuts with yamaha conversion hubs. I would like to build a round house swingarm if I could get ahold of a carrier, instead of utilizing the stock carrier.
  13. The easiest pipe to run is a pual turner.
  14. It has 12in of wheel travel. I found that the spindle has a flaw that limits the amount of drop I could get. At full droop I gain alot of negative camber. I think Ive figured out what the flaw is but I don't work at a machine shop anymore. I can't make up some new shafts. I think with a stock spindle I could get over 14in of travel. It works real good as is.
  15. I think the gearing isn't that bad. 1st through 3rd are spaced apart where as the banshee's are closer together. I run 12-42 sprockets and it seems fine. I mainly ride in Glamis or the desert. Just drop the motor in as is and try it, thats what I did.
  16. You have to make some exhaust flanges that except a banshee style pipe. You can use the fmf's but you have to put some dents in them to clear the power valves, paul turner pipes fit with no problem. The pump can be removed and a block off plate from a banshee can be bolted on. If you want to keep the lower geared transmission put the rz jugs, wiring on your lower end. I'm running a complete rz motor, the gears are spaced a little higher. If you plan on doing a full engine overhaul, get a banshee transmission off of ebay and stick it in. That way you can keep your other banshee motor complete.
  17. Nothing new yet, I'm busy working on my baja bug and last weekend my cr250 developed a squeak in shock pivot. I've been piecing a lt500 axle together, thats about it. Too much to do not enough time and money.
  18. I origianally was going to make a 250r copy but I don't have one to copy. The front end I completely designed myself, the rest I used my stock banshee as a reference. My buddy gave me the idea of center mounted a-arms, alot of offroad trucks use center mounted arms. heres another spindle pic.

  20. summore
  21. Its finally rolling and running. Took over a month to get the elkas. Compression and rebound adjustable dune edition. Just fitted the plastics and my buddy made up some stainless steel brake lines for the front. Just doing some last minute gussetting and tabs.
  22. I used my dads boschhammer its a mini jack hammer, came out no problem.
  23. Ive seen pictures of a ypvs rz250. Looks very similar to the 350. It was a Japan only model I think.
  24. couple more
  25. I didn't take many pics of the build up. Jigging up the frame was a task. I couldn't figure out any easy way to do it. It was time consuming but it came out straight. The a-arms were pretty simple. I made a jig up real quick for those. I'm going to figure out the shock linkage when I get the shocks.
