Been doing some research and it might not be as bad as ya think. The sport 400 motor and transmission is two separate parts joined by the belt. I'll just use the motor and use a jack shaft. This will just be a drag bike but should be fun. I've been told the motor will be lighter than a banshee motor. It is a single cylinder. Just will have to experiment with gearing. Found these pictures on another site. Should be very helpful.

yeah,I've been getting some advice from a guy on a polaris site with some helpful modifying tips. He has polaris' and banshees. I'll definitely have some modifying to do but hopefully can get it to work. Thanks for the reply.I thought everyone had turned their backs on me. The pipe is one of my concerns also.Might have to use an out of frame drag pipe but hopefully can get an inframe to work.CPI makes an inframe for the 400 engine.

Hopefully I won't be disowned.People put snowmobile and crotchrocket motors in them.

I figure if I do this both the banshee and polaris guys and gals might disown me but here goes. This is an idea I'm thinking about.Of course,I have the TB I'm putting together.I also have the sport that's still in pieces. I have always loved banshees(please forgive me.LOL),and I have a friend with enough parts to put together a banshee except no motor.I was thinking about putting the 400 motor together and installing the motor on the banshee frame.I figure there will need to be some fabricating but the end result might be worth it.There are more parts readily available for the banshee frame.I think the chain is on the right side of the sport and left on the banshee. Why could I not just reverse the carrier/axle in the swingarm if I buy an aftermarket swingarm with a round carrier.Plus I could then buy a drag axle. Could also use a banshee rear brake to replace the polaris rear brake which my past experience the polaris rear braking isn't the best in the world. I was thinking about a stock banshee with light suspension, but I'm also wondering how much heavier the sport motor/transmission is than a banshee motor. Also wondering about the height of the 400 compared to the 350 banshee engine. This may interferre with the gas tank.Hmmm? What do ya think? What could I call it? Maybe paint it black and call it "black sheep". I'm thinking the banshee looks that I prefer the most with the convience of an automatic.

I think 10's is possible. You don't mind watching me for 10 minutes running down the track do ya?
-
Can you PM me a picture of the pod filters? Do you have the outerwares?
-
I've never run there.I think that's an NHRA track isn't it? What's the rules for a street car?

I finally made a pass down the track in my stang since I had the wreck on the banshee I had about a year ago. I almost know if I hadn't crashed,it would have been a high 6 second run. I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest yesterday. I made just one pass.I have some motor mounts that need replaced badly. It is almost completely stock. It was very hot.Probably at least in the low 90's. It run a 10.51. Good grief it feels slow.Especially compared to my old quad, but the car does have seatbelts and doors. Stock gears are killing this car.

The hillshooter I had was without a spring. It was awesome. If your not sure, just call them.Great people to deal with.
-
The competition series is stiff but the hillshooter even without a spring is awesome. I had a hillshooter without a spring on the rear of the banshee I had.It would float over whoops.Awesome shock. Just give them a call. They are great people.

I have tried the shearer in-frames and the cpi out of frames. I honestly think the shearer in-frames were the better performer. You could tell when the cpi's fell off on topend and the shearers would seem to keep gaining on topend forever.I liked the cpi's but was insanely impressed with the shearers. If I ever build another drag banshee,it will have shearers on it.

I would definitely "read the plug".Different pipes like different jetting. If the plug looks white or the it starts popping, you are way lean and better jet up. A friend of mine had one and it would sound like a .22 going off when he bought it and run horrible. It was insanely lean.He had pro cicuits.I think he ended up with a 400 main. He also had stock carbs and clamp-on K&N's.That bike run real good once the jetting was right. The PC's do like alot of fuel but the GRR's might not.

The plastic protectors are alot tougher than you think. I'm pretty sure I would have broken my collar bone when I had my wreck. I hit a steel railing with my shoulder. All it did was barely crack the protector. I was extremely sore but that's better than broken bones. They are worth the money.

I was using barnett when I had my old banshee. It was mildly ported,T-5's,and stock carbs. I switched to shearer and alky and they went by-by quick. Definitely use Jeff's.Those barnetts wouldn't have had a chance (in my opinion) when I went with Jeff's drag port. On my wife's banshee she had,it was stock except for T5's and K&N filters. We smoked the clutch and put in an old set of Jeff's clutches since I was going with new ones on mine. You better be hanging on.They definitely wouldn't slip and would try and point the nose toward the sky in a heartbeat. I was impressed.

I have read that there's some stuff in yogurt called Acidophilus (I think) that will help. That may help prevent this condition(C-DIFF).

Yeah,it can take 2 or 3 weeks to get back to feeling 100%. Man this has been rough.I am doing better. I'm very thankful my pregnant wife and 3 year old hasn't got it. My doctor said if my wife caught it,it could actually put her in early labor.

This has nothing to do with quads but thought you guys should know. I'm the type of person that almost never gets sick.I've never stayed in the hospital over night for myself being sick. Well,I just got out of the hospital after being there 2 days. I had all kinds of tests done, had to see a specialist,etc... I had it about a month ago and my doctor and I thought it was gone. First time I had to go to the ER also. Well,it wasn't completely gone and hammered me again this time putting me in the hospital. Symptoms is severe diarreah, severe stomach cramping,etc... It's awful and severly painful. If you get this, especially if it last longer than a day or 2."GET TO YOU DOCTOR" I most likely will end up missing a month of work. My doctor said what might have happened was that someone had it. They didn't wash there hands after using the restroom and put the germ on something. Just touching something an infected person has touched can pass it to you. He said I probably got the germ on my hands. When I went to eat,I put the germ on the food and it went into my system. Just make sure you wash your hands before you eat, been out in the public,etc... It's extremely bad if not fatal on elderly people and young kids. If you get it and get treated,a follow up with the doctor would be a great idea. Not trying to scare anyone.Just trying to get the word out.

Thanks for the offer.I think he'll want 20's and I only need tires.

I'm needing a set of front and rear tires for my friend's warrior. The fronts are 10 inch rims and the rear are 9's. I'd like a set off either a raptor or YFZ. I don't want to pay a new price, but I need a good set of tires. Please PM me if you have some. For shipping my zip code is 72450.
