I am running T-5's as well with porting, timing advanced and a trinity stage IV head and it is still fairly easy on the trails and flat out rips on the street/dunes. I am building a 10 mil cub now so the top end will be for sale real soon (now) if your interested. The top end only has the break in and one day of riding on it.

Thats crazy i couldnt imagine that, i guess ill shut up now... I guess with all 6 you dont have to worry about slip though. I almost did all 6 but i then started to worry about all the pressure on the stock clutch arm.

I am running the toomey clutch kit with 3 toomey hd springs and 3 stockers. It works awesome its just a little stiff and takes some getting use to.

Also you will be shooting yourself in the foot with a smaller diamater tire at the top of the hill, the 20's wont have the topend speed of a 21 or 22. As far as turning i have no issues with my 22's as long as you have the power the bitch will turn... It looks like you may have more motor than me and if mine turns fine then you should be cool.

I am running 22x11x8 8 paddle extremes with a stock swinger and love them but it is a handful with the stock swinger. I am in the process of building a 10mil cub so didnt see the point of throwing a +6 swinger on for the time being.I had 20x10 haulers before and hated them compared to theese.
-
I run 4psi in my extremes and feels perfect, I dont really want it hooking up any more than what it is now.I am too cheap to put a swinger on the bike so it makes it nice and unpredictable.

If i was in the market for a quad to primarily trail ride with i would lean more towards the Raptor.I love my shee but trail riding it is a little bit of a chore.Dont get me wrong it is a blast but at the end of the day my whole body is feeling it where the raptor is like riding a cadilac.

Am I safe with this race gas?
noslo98 replied to silencethevoice's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have been running race gas ever since i installed the head with 21cc domes and no porting. Some may say i wasted my money but it is cheap insurance on the motor and peace of mind. Also the bike runs a lot more consistant making it easier to get dialed in.With race gas you know what your getting every time and pump your just rolling the dice for a good batch of alhambra fuel. The other factor is that most of the time your not running balls out 7 days a week in my case its once or twice a month for 2-3 day trips so 15 gal of 110 @ 95.00 isnt bad for insurance sure its twice the price but atleast i know what im getting and dont wonder when im running hard on top im not wondering if i have too much comp for the fuel.Just my personal thoughts. -

I run +6 timing and 180 psi compression and have been running VP110 for the last 2 years with no problems besides my own stupidity that leaned one side out blowing a hole through the piston. C12 is nice stuff but VP110 will work fine for what your running, the C12 may be overkill in the pocket book. -

CPIs drenching my 6 pack rack with gunk any solutions
noslo98 replied to excess's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I know what you ment but i couldnt resist.. I would be amazed if the bike ran with 4:1 (32oz oli to 1 gal) -
I used to run U4 in my YZ450F and it was awesome stuff but was a litttle odd on the tuning side, it leans the bike out but when you are jetted for it it is awesome stuff. I did have some problems leaving it stored in the bike though once, it ended up melting the rubber oring on my slide and made the bike run like crap and couldnt figure it out for a while. When it first came out they didnt tell you not to leave it in the bike.I have not tried U2 yet because the VP dealers are getting fewer and fewer since they raised there prices this year. My supplier switched from VP to Sunoco so i did as well.

what are the chances of a crank failing on
noslo98 replied to 98 shee mx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I am running porting and a lot more and also do a lot of hill shooting and have not had any issues with my stock crank and im not really too nice to it. A welded crank is not a bad idea but with what you have it is not a manditory mod. In my case its just a timebomb waiting to go. -
Bad weekend in Glamis! Need a little advice.

I second the one about the pump gas maybe not such a good idea, it sounds like your right on the edge. I run straight sunoco 110 and not mix it with pump for my current set up and it runs awesome. I have tried mixing with pump before and didnt care for the results. I am running a dune port w/19cc domes. I still ran the race gas when i was running the 22cc domes. I run the stuff as a cheap insurance and it is alwaise consistant unlike the wattered down pump gas. -
I have the end cap style they are nice, they dont effect the performance and they are easy to deal with as long as you have a good set of snap ring pliers, not the cheap harbor freight ones as i learned the hard way.

Is porting the best mod for the banshee?
noslo98 replied to mattb348's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yes i believe it is the best mod, i did everything else and the bike ran good but it was not really unleashed until i did the porting. Now it rips to say the least. -
I am looking for some white cut rear plastics anyone have any? Or some cheap non-cut.
