people with passions stroker and pj 34

Wes, You might want to try BEG. However, I suggest you get your main dialed in and your pilot circuit "somewhat" dialed in before you go to the needle. It helps narrow it down. BG -
Brad, I've gone down your path, 10 rides, and new pads. That happens to me any time I get anything but full metallic. Actually, some of the longest wearing pads I've used are stock. Another great choice, that wear equally as long, probably longer because they're thicker, are Moose. I don't know who is making them for Moose, but they're fantastic pads. I had really bad luck with EBC and SBS, but then again, I didn't always get full metallic, I learned the hard way. I'd never buy anything but the Moose or Stock again. I bet the Vesrah will work okay, if they are metallic. I ran a replacemnet Vesrah clutch for a couple of years, and it was excellent. BG

Anyone know the official spec for the float height for Mikuni 28mm Flatslides? I've been looking for the correct spec for them, with no luck. I am a stickler for precision. Thanks, BG

Hey folks, I'm just curious, what kind of mileage are you getting out of a tank of gas? My stroker seems to get about 30 miles to a tank. Just wondering what others are getting. BG

Oh and Too bad you weren't in my area. I have every jet from 250 to 500, Every pilot up to 50, and a whole slew of needles. I'm jetting right now myself. hehe BG -

Since you've rebuilt an entire engine... I'm sure you've disabled all the TORS crap. I only throw it out there, just in case it was overlooked. You're probably going to need to go down 8-10 jet sizes. Just do it a little at a time. BG -
Yeah they look cool. I even used the dye in the rad fluid. However, I've been having nothing but problems with them. The upper rad hose that goes into the head, keeps popping off. I check it, and the rubber insert is cracked. I never had any trouble with my stock hoses. Save your money, they aren't worth the hassle in my opinion. BG

I'm running 14/39 gears right now for because it is mostly a trail bike. I'm trying to keep it tame. I am sure it would pull taller gearing, but I don't have any need for more top speed. I bet right now, it'll do mid 80's, but I haven't checked. My friends ride 4X4's. I don't think I have to worry about them getting me down a long straight. Hehe I rarely top 60mph on a ride. I'm mostly an acceleration junky. Get me from 0-60 in a heartbeat and I'm happy. BG

Still Jetting! I am getting really close on the tuning. I am at 400 mains, 5L1 Needles on the richest clip, #30 pilots. I may actually lean the needles up one notch and give it a run. I think these needles are the ticket though, it really came alive with them. I still may need to drop the main jet to 390's or 380's. As it is now, it runs great. I'm just a stickler for fine tuning. My only beef right now, is getting a smooth idle. I set the idle where I want it... It sits for about 30 seconds and slowly rides up on me higher than I'd like. I turn it down... But then she'll stall subsequently stall. It's a little fickle. It's actually an issue I've had with the 28mm TM's since I've had them. So I've got to work on it. I may need to even go a little bigger on the pilots. I'll go to 32.5 next. But it's a work in progress. The power comes on early and strong. To be honest, I think it may be a little bit much for a trail bike. It doesn't understand the concept of slow any more. Hehe I'll get finished pics up when it's all done being jetted. I'll rewash it, and then post 'em. Probably a few days before I get it where I want it. BG

That'll be the springtime project. I'll probably go with 34mm TM flatslides. I have Literally, a couple hundred worth of jets and needles. BG

Holy Cow! That sums it up. I've been doing banshee performance for 10 years. I've built many an engine, including some big bores. Jim's 12 port stroker is the first time I've been a little scared. I've been doing some jetting runs, getting her dialed in. I'm close on the jetting now. I've got a little more tuning to go. The power, when it comes on, is unreal. This is one mod that is for advanced riders ONLY. The low-mid range is acceptable. It's similar to my last 350 setup, even though it still needs to be dialed in. The mid-top however is ridiculous. It's SICK! It's Arm Wrenching. I LOVE IT. BG Mods: Passion 12 port stroker Rocket pipes V-Force Reeds ModQuad Aluminum Intake Lightened Flywheel +5 timing advance 17cc domes Mikuni 28mm TM flatslides Toomey 2:1 filter, my clamp-ons will no longer clear the stingers 14/39 gears 20" RAZR's and a whole lot of bling...

No Dude, Those are precision venturis that require a precision bore. Leave it alone. You won't gain any power by boring them anyway. You'll be sorry if you try to bore them, especially yourself without the proper equipment. I think it was Banchetta who showed that stock, bored carbs, show a loss in Horsepower on the dyno. BG

Loco, You're only making yourself look poorly educated and uncultured. It's a trifling display of vulgarity. While colorful in your explitive diatribe, it is completely unneccessary and foolhardy. Calm down. BG P.S. A wise man once told me, You do right for people and they'll do right for you. Keep it in mind. I'm done reading this thread and your posts.

Loco, Clark, Dudes, It isn't even worthy of a response. I'm bored with you, Loco. I said my piece and that's it. Clark... You're an okay dude, and I appreciate you sticking up for your brother. So I'll leave it at that. BG

I think it is unbelievable. What do you ask is unbelievable? Consistently, there are a select few on these forums who continue to try to bash Jim for his work. Multiple dyno runs, from multiple customers, in multiple states have demonstrated just how WELL his engines perform, and for whatever reason, the select few are continuing to defame him. For God's sake, he's got stock bore, +4 strokers making darn near 80 ponies with 45 lb*ft of torque on GAS. GAS!!! Imagine setting these suckers up on methanol? You're getting your money's worth from him. Are there builders who can build +4mm faster? Probably, but who cares? The point is that you're paying for a quality service and you're receiving it at an unbeatable price. His workmanship is beautiful by the way. In the spirit of things, I'm going to post some pics of his jugs in the images section later today. To the select few, You got up on the pot, you crapped, and now you've got splashback you can't handle. This could have been avoided if you didn't crap in our pot in the first place. So get off the pot!!! BG

Pro Design Cylinder Studs/intake
BansheeGuy_IV replied to BansheeGuy_IV's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
YOU ROCK. Thanks a billion Bill -
Hey guys, I am trying to replace my cylinder studs. I have a Pro Design head and I need to use the longer studs. My Pro Design studs are aged, and one of them is a little iffy. I also need new rubber manifolds for them. Mine are cracking. They're just old. ;-) I can't find Pro Designs number in any of the magazines anymore. I used to order direct from them. Could any of ya'll point me to Pro Design's phone number and/or a place that'll sell me what I need? Thanks Dudes, Bill

There were a few questions so.... I'm looking for $400.00, buyer pays the shipping. Given their condition, extremely limited use, and original purchase price, I think it is a good deal. I'll even throw in a pair of 300 main jets. That's a pretty good starting point. I'm flexible on the terms. Questions answered, drop me a PM if anyone has more questions and/or is interested in purchasing them. Bill

Hey everyone, I have a set of TR-6 pipes. They're chrome. They have a couple of hours on them. They're in new condition, no tarnish or anything. I'm going with a top-end type setup soon, probably for something more on the lines of a TT style, and I no longer need them. I really thought they were a gutsy set of pipes. Alot of people praise the PT midrange pipes for woods, and I think these are right up there with them. If you're interested, PM me with an offer. I don't have a picture at the moment, but I can snap a few with my camera phone prior to the transaction if neccessary, just so you can see that they are in fact in great shape. Realistic offers please, and no trades. Thanks, Bill
