Don't make assumptions like that... The bike is nice and is not beat up. The lower rod bearing went out so I just wanted to put in a new crank and top end. And I had the pingle valve sitting in my garage from my other banshee.

I have an awesome condition 2004 banshee for sale, it has a brand new engine and has about 5-10 mins of run time on it, it has not been ridden yet, just started with the new Weisco crank, and new Weisco top end. I have all reciepts for parts and labor that just got done adding up to over $1200. BRAND NEW ENGINE, ready to ride and have fun with for years of trouble free riding. Yeah with the grey plug and everything on that one cylinder, it was def lean... Just a rebuild should do the trick with some good jetting... just like you said, look for torn boots, etc. during disassembly.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a shot! This is my 3rd banshee and I just need a ballpark because I was out of the loop for a while haha. Would taking the snorkle off make any difference with airflow and jetting you think? Say i'm a tad rich with the snorkle on, if I take the snorkle off, would that lean it out a tad?

Yeah I'm just asking because it is FREEZING here and usually for winter you need a couple sizes bigger on the mains due to the dense air... So I guess I'll give the 270s a shot... and if it is a tad rich, i'll pop off the snorkle or try something else I guess. Anybody else have any input... 10-40 degrees F and 800 ft above sea level in Northern NJ... FMF gold series pipes only.

Hey what's up... I have a set of old school FMF gold series pipes, and a pair of 270 main jets for the stock carbs... Intake is stock with lid and snorkle... Temperatures range from today at 10 degrees to about 40 degrees... All stock just the pipes... 800 ft. above sea level... Think I could just slap the 270s in and ride it? Or is it too cold to run 270s with just pipes? Also, I have been running amsoil dominator full synthetic 2 stroke mix oil, and on the back it says to run it 50:1... so that's what i've been doing, however i've been reading on here that most people still run 40:1 with good oil... should I be okay at the 50:1 that Amsoil suggests, or should I start mixing some 40:1? Thanks a lot, and any help would be appreciated!

Hey guys..... Just went out and snapped some pics of the Shee. Please excuse how dirty it is in the pics cause it is the middle of winter and my hose is frozen. It has been maeticulously maintained. Oil changed every 2 riding days. It has been using Bel-Ray 2 stroke trans oil and amsoil dominator full synthetic premix with premium pump fuel ever since break in. Deffinitely no more than 35 hours on this bike... it was never really ridden that much. Very beautiful looking bike in person when it is all cleaned and pollished. I am asking $4900 OBO.... It came with dirctions. I removed the factory slider and ring and the damn thing will not close all the way and let me put the alen head screw in. It is totally mis aligned when I wrapped it around the swinger and tried to force it shut to put the screw in. I am tempted to just run a sheet metal screw right into it and not worry about it.
