  3. Hey guys, this week I will be installing a +4mm Weisco hot rods crank and weisco prolite pistons...... I have a clymers manual and read it and the banshee motor looks very simple to work on. I am not a begginer, I have been working on motors for a long time. It seems pretty straight forward, anything to look out for..... replace.... or check while the case is split? Also, how should this affect jetting? And if my friend likes it, I just might have to throw one in mine
  4. When it is rich it sputters and chokes, and when it is lean it bogs. If you want to get it right buy a Jet4Power meter. I have one and I wouldn't ever not have one on my quads. Here is the link. Jet 4 Power Meter
  5. Run 40:1 with some Amsoil Dominator That stuff is the Shit! It says right on the bottle you can run 50:1 because it is 100% Synthetic
  6. Well I know how to jet, I have had like 12 quads so far, but I just never knew the exact procedure.... I always got them running right. Right now I am using Jet 4 Power to get them completely tuned. Best investment I have ever had! Jet4Power! So you are looking at the ring where the washer is? Thanks!
  7. Hey guys, People have told me so many ways on how to do the plug chop the right way, I am so confused right now. Could somone please tell me the exact steps, step by step on exactly what to do. One person told me I should git the kill switch while holding the throttle WO and hold it wide open after the motor is dead and until it stops Please if you could, list the steps like so...... Thanx a million guys! keep the rubber side down! 1.) 2.) 3.) 4.) ect.... Thanx!
  8. I don't really need to read the plugs anymore because I have installed the Jet4Power Meter (works wonders) There is not one dead spot or hesitation in my shee while it is running, I race all these other piped and modded shees and they can't believe how fast mine is, even with the lid on! When I tell them I still have my lid on they are like They ask how I do it and I don't even open my mouth, it is a secrete. The only way they would be able to tell is if they saw the weld bung that I had to weld into the exhaust. Here is a link if you want one, I LOVE MINE! Jet 4 Power Jetting Meter Link Also, what are the correct steps for doing a plug check, please make them as detailed as possible, thanx!
  9. Hey guys, I am going to be ordering the CV carb kit from trinity racing this week and was wondering If I should get the 33mm or the 35mm. I ride mostly open areas and somtimes trails. I really don't want to loose the killer top end on the shee but having 2 carbs on the banshee just isn't for me. I was wondering if the 35mm would be closer to the feel of the stockers cause it is larger and have more top end than the 33 mm. Thanx for all of your help and please respond quickly! And my motor mods are V-Force reeds, FMF fatty pipes, power core 2 silencers, white bros boost bottle, and Pro Design intake kit. Thanks again
  10. Hey guys, Tommarow I am going to jet my friends banshee for him and just was wondering what jets sounded right so I can run the the stealership and grab them.... He has a stock motor with a boost bottle, FMF fatties, and Powercore II silencers and no snorkle on the lid.... Elevation is like 700-800 ft and like 80 degrees. Please help! I have all of those mods on my shee and it is running fine with what the previous owner had installed but He never told me what jets were in there. Just if you could give me a ballpark number that I could work with, that would be great! Also, what is the best way to get the carbs off of the banshee? I havn't rejetted a banshee before but I have done 250R's, Raptor's, Z's, Warrior's ect..... Just if you can give me any tips on what the easiest way is on the banshee, Thanx!
