  1. Unfortunatly, I can't get the Friday off before Memorial or Labor so I am going to need some major help w/vouchers and I will obviously not be able to rent or assist in renting the track for those Holiday weekend Fridays. I am definately wanting to get to the dunes a few more weekends outside of the Holiday weekends so hopefully we can get a few of those set w/decent turnout. We definately need track schedules soon to be able to plan for everything. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I agree you need a bigger pilot. You can go less than 1 1/2 turns but if do you are most likely needing a bigger pilot. It does not hurt to turn them down to a half turn for testing purposes. And are you sure your choke is working properly? Crossover tube in place, bowls on the correct carbs??? They are not the same.
  3. Thanks JT....I spoke w/Scott(Rootracing) and he said he had an extra set I could try out. I will def. try and get this thing together and see if I can make it a time or two.
  4. I have no actual experience trying this but a lot of builders prefer the small bore shearer up to the 10 cub(465cc). A few of the fastest builders also like to use the big bore on that motor including mine(a&s racing). M
  5. Are you getting the origional poster and lowriderb mixed up? I don't believe lowriderb has reported even firing his yet. I don't know a thing about the turbo setup but every well running setup I have seen has one pipe.
  6. That is a 8-900 cc motor and lowriderb is no spring chicken. I am pretty sure the pipe is custom made by CPI for his application.
  7. Looks great. I run a 52 pilot on alky.
  8. Tell me about it. There was a single arm Lonestar chassis never put together that sold for $1200 shipped from a reputable member.....made me sick to my stomach. Free bump on a great deal.
  9. If you are going to send it to Kevin, I would ask him about your entire setup. He will get you fixed up. Snop is real good on these types of setups as well.
  10. I am a little ways off, but If I can get mine back together, does someone have an extra set of ice tires I could try?
  11. NP, and I must say, I love the idea of a monster two stroke in a motorcycle!
  12. If you are serious about looking into a turbo, call Tyson Racing, GT Performance, A+S Racing, or K+T Racing. All of them know turbos and have all built some impressive machines. CPI will custom build you about anything you want. Actually N20 who commented previously in the post may be able to give you some advice...he has a 350 Turbo setup running well into the 3's in 300 ft. There is another Gentleman on here screen name LowriderB i believe, he is building a monter two stroke turbo.
  13. Yes there is. If you switch them up the choke will no longer work on your right carb. My bowls were labeled 1-1 and 1-2 inside them.....1-1 being the choke side bowl. I have heard this is not always the case though.
  14. There is much larger than the DMX. Scimitar and Caracel. I have heard up to a 105mm bore. You would prolly be looking in the 200ish HP range.
  15. Why not a 4 mill serval?
  16. I believe there is a 4 mill cub on the board for $2K right now.
  17. If you've lost 30 pounds since last I saw you, I might have you....you better look for another jockey Lol!!! There are some dm's in the MI crew but not on gas and in a duner. And for anyone reading this thread, John means a duner, not a suspended drag bike. Everyone I know of is on Alky and on a drag chassis John. And I am of course here for all your polishing needs!
  18. Lol, I was exagerating a little on the paddles and I am not worried....I have been sprayed many times in my days of dune racing, I would rather it come from a friend. Besides, I may even be able to talk you into letting me ride it sometime:) I wish I could help you on the in's and out's of duning a DM, but I have not seen it done locally yet and couldn't tell ya. Not sure how the 4 mills are for kickback but make sure you consider all your protections etc. So u don't end up w/broken clutch covers, feet, and shins lol.
  19. I love it...a duner that requires 14 paddle rippers lol!
  20. I appreciate that Jeffro!
  21. I prefer a pumper carb not for fuel requirements but for convenience and assurance. To me they are not something else to worry about IMO.....they save me from worrying. W/a pumper you def. don't have to worry about fuel requirements, i don't have to remember to turn the fuel off and chance a float sticking and possibly hydro locking a motor, don't have to have a pingel, and much easier to purge w/one fuel supply line. To get to the question, I am on the fence. I ran 39PWK's and for some reason had to run my PJ wide open w/.120 mains in the heat of the summer. I went to 41.3 lectrons the very next year w/two PJ's and can almost barely open one and am fat in the middle of summer. Easier to adjust, but can't quite fine tune the low/mid ckt like I'd like. Most of my friends and my builder swear the 39 PWK's are the way to go.....I am still trying to decide which one I am going to run this summer.
  22. I'll have to try this sometime
  23. How about no stickers....
  24. Yes it will work. I wanna say 03 and newer(Whatever year they went to disk brakes) are a complete no mod swap. Just use the shaft and use all your Banshee hubs. Maybe someone can verify the year for sure...
