well i spent 4 hours going through everything from the reeds back and dissassembling them, cleaning them with compressed air, every little part. put it all back together and nothin.
i ve got strong spark, gas, hmm check compression. as your sitting on the bike the right cylinder had a whoping 65 lbs of pressure and the left had an astonishing 75 lbs of pressure. im taking it over to a friend of a friend who is a total banshee head, have him verify my findings and then start savin for parts for a total top end rebuild.
its a 2002 and from what ive seen here every 2-3 years for a rebuild is common and its been about that. i dont think any of the previous owners have been inside except to clean the carbs.
parts for .020-.040 will probrobly be what? $200 or so? and cylinder work another $150? is that about right? just tryin to figure out hom much i need, and may as well ditch the stock exhaust while im doin all this, along with some reeds, spacers, jets, etc etc. any suggestions for exhaust? what seams to work the best on Banshees?
thanks for the help guys.
