you can get the 220-hp Vortec 3500 I-5 but your right its still a 4 banger but a good one at that. Engine: Vortec 2800 I-4 is the 125hp wich is standerd. unless you are getting the offroad package and or request it. we only have the 2 wheel drive but i do have the I5 in it. no wonder she only has to fill up every 2 weeks and she has to drive twice as far.

I bought my wife a brand new colorodo the I5vortec crewcab.i have driven it and use it to take out my banshee while my truck was in the shop. if you get the crewcab you have to leave the tailgate down whne your bike in the back if you get the normal cab im sure it will fit. great truck we have taken it to vegas and cali and even took it to glamis while my other truck was in the shop. but great little truck it drives like a 4-runner nice smooth ride. dont get me wrong with riseing gas prices make me want to get rid of my full size and buy another colorodo. but great trucks for the price. oh i lied there was one problem but it was that way when it shiped and the dealership fixed it ASAP. the trim on the top of the truck the passenger side on the back of the cab was coming up a little. but a easy fix. other than that it has been one of the best trucks i have bought and i have bought about 4 new trucks and sevrel used trucks. hope this helps i drive a 98 chevy z-71 i think i get 17mpg hwy and about 15 in town, the colorodo has to get 19 to 20 but dont quote me on that it might be better but i know im filling up twice as much as her. im going to go and buy a 01 corolla from a friends dad and ill use that to drive to and from work and use my full size for offroad and weekend use.

heres the story directly from the lady and her husband that had thier toybox ram by the robbers. The story that was told by road king willie is true and correct. I was the victim that was terriized for more than 30 minutes while the sheriffs from winterhaven decided to show up. the BLM was off duty and one one BP to be seen. I have been going to buttercup since a child and just spent the weekend with my adult children and grandchildren who all left to go home. My husband and I decided to remain one more night. at approx 8:50pm a group of men drove around from the rear of our rig with lights out and passed us real slow. and few seconds later they were returning to out camp and had a confrontation with my husband. The driver in spanish told one of the passengers to shoot him. we were able to flee into our trailer and lock ourselves in. they fired two shots at my husband prior to getting into the trailer and 3 more into the trailer after we were in. they rammed the back of our rig with the suv in an attempt to knock open the rear ramp. we had locked down our quads, and truck prior to the attack. we had the keys in the trailer. 28 min and 51 seconds I spent on the floor of my trailer in complete terror waiting for help. the camp next to us lost truck, and 4 quads. the sherriff told us that there was a total of 5 other camps attacked. we thought we were going to die. the BLM had not one ranger on staff after 8pm because they had just finished a 12 hour shift, my adult children tried to get the BP to go to the camp and check on us but was told they had to wait for the sheriff to call them. Thank god we were able to get out with our lives and they were not able to take our property because it was locked down. this message that roadkingwillie has told you is true and the imperial couty sheriff is who came out with the CHP. Report is on file with the imperial county sheriff. I have had a conversation with the man in charge of law inforcement with the BLM today and was told he did not hear about our incident until this morning. Please if you are taking your family to buttercup BEWARE! this message is only to help people know what kind of place this is becoming. Your children are not safe, you are not safe. dont go out there alone safety is in numbers if you choose to go. I will not ever return to Buttercup after this.

Bandits held 5 seperate campeing Families that had toy boxes and trucks disconnected from there toy boxes.had there families and children at gun point @ around 8:30 Pm last night while they robbed and took there trucks and quads into Mexico, these campers were parked along the border road but in US land, Southwest of the Trees by the old plank road monument. One camper was able to lock himself in his toy box before they struck there camp, and the bandits began to shoot at his trailer, and then began to try and roll the trailer over with there vehicle by raming it and attempting to get the ramp door open. this perticular group of 5 men 20 to 25 years old. the victim was also a Mexican man in his late 50's heard the driver of the navigator telling the passenger to shoot him speaking in Spanish.They were last seen in a Silver navigator.These campers that locked them selfs in there toy box were able to call on there cell phone to 911, the Sherriffs or rangers did not arrive there for over 20 to 30 minutes as these 5 camps were terorized by aproximatley 20 to 25 Mexican Nationals, the Border patrol and Rangers were no were to be seen on the Buttercup side most all the day of Sunday this was my observation . this is recorded here in the yuma newspaper but not all the facts are told. so be careful camping south of the highway. here in az it only cost 8 bucks to get the new title if you coming from outta state. you have to get the bike inspected and show proof of sale to you or another personand a transferd title. there is so much theft here its a good ideal but most of the time if your bike is stolen you wont reconigze it anyway if they dont part it out or take it across the border.

i dont think it will work ethier. Plus you might have to weld the crank as well or you will have a whole new set of problems.Or if im mistacken that might only need to be done when porting sorry. but will cost more money in the long run.
