  1. Please help, I am about to purchase a +4 swing arm for my 01, does any one know what the over all length of a stock chain is and I guess the new chain should be about 8" longer??? Also, what do I need to do about the brake lines, do I have to extend them?? Also, if I order +2+1 a-arms do I have to lengthen the brake lines? Does this mean +2 inches on each side or +2 inches total? I have no idea, I have always worked on making it faster, not making it ride and handle better. Any help or sources for info would be great, I am offshore and I want to order the stuff now so that when I get home it will all be waiting on me.
  2. I am thinking about getting Lynn from LC Performance to build my engine, has anyone had their engine built by him?? Any comments?? He sounds like he has his stuff together to me..
  3. I have never been to Little Sahara. What area is the most popular? What are some towns and that sort of stuff. I am tring to plan a trip for around the 4th of July. Me and few of my buddies will be driving from around the East Texas area so I am tring to have everything planned out because it is not a short drive from where I live. Please help?
  4. I will check for that asap. With blown case seals how would the bike run?
  5. OK here is the deal. My buddy has an 87 shee. It use to run perfect but one day out of the blue it would not run good once it warmed up. After it warms up and you kill it you have to pull it crank it. It is not hard to kick but it is like you cant kick it fast enough to start it once it is warm. After it warms up it just doesnt run that good, it kinda misses and acts stupid. So far the top end was completely redone. New pistons/bore, new reeds, and all new boots and gaskets. No change... We have swapped plug wries around and I even ran his coil on my bike because it just didnt seem like it had enough fire but it ran fine. It has an after market stator that ohms out good, the pick up ohms out good. The only 2 things that I think that it could be is either the CDI ( hopefully) or blown case seals (which will suck). Has anyone had this problem? What are some of the different signs of blown case seals? Phillip
  6. I would say just stick with preimium, and try maxima 927 mixing oil. I have had really good luck with it. Also what kind of plugs are you using, I prefer NGK and they make one that is suppose to not foul out as easy, I believe the part number is BR8ES, but dont hold me to that.
  7. I did it on my 87. The way that I did it was pretty easy and didnt cost much. I could not find a short enough valve stem so I drilled a hole on the inside of the rim opposite the existing valve stem. Them I placed a new valve stem in the new hole and removed the old one and replaced it so that the stem was actually on the inside of the tire. I did not ever have a problem with vibration or anything just make sure that the stems are about the same wait.
  8. Do you still have the nerf bars? What will you take for them shipped to 77664? Give me a call 409-382-2635.
  9. What are you asking for the upper right side a-arm and the case saver?
  10. What are you asking for the front bumper, nerfs, seat, upper right side a-arm, and do you have any 10" rear wheels? Please send me seperate prices for everything if you still have it. Thanks
  11. Its not for hp, it is for my buddies bike and I think that the shop that is about to bore his cylinders is about to screw him. So I am just tring to find out all that I can. I had heard it is also possible to 90 or 100 over but it would start to run hot is you didnt watch it. Does anyone know of a good resource that lists this kind of information for all bikes, not just banshees?
  12. Have you checked the bulbs in the headlights? If the voltage reg went out there is a chance that it could have blown the bulbs.
  13. What is the largest safe bore that can be done to the stock banshee cylinders? I heard that 66.5mm was about as large as you would want to go. Thanks
  14. I have a 2001 banshee, how would i go about disconnecting the TORS system? I believe it is causing me problems.
