Now i know that my compression (new top end)will go from 155 to 160 mybe? So can i just run 110 octane to start?

I have a airbox lid (made out of aircraft billet)on there but its from ALBA and they said its like running without one.I bought this lid back in 99 but on their website i can't find it anywhere,so you can see what i'm talking about. I just got engine back from the shop,here's all the info of my shee 1.Wiseco crank with hot rods trued & welded 2.Wiseco pistons .030 bord over,no porting 3.Stock carbs 310 mains 4.Pro-flo flang with k&n filter and outerwear in a stock air box 5.Prodesign coolhead with 20cc domes 6.My elevation is 207 above sea level Out here in California premium gas is 91 octane,i can't get 93 premium out here. My compression is 155 each cylinder but my engine just got back from the shop so i'm thinking that the compression might go up higher once i get it broken in. So my question is,what octane should i use with all these mods? THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Would brake cleaner & anti-freeze together harm my coolhead and my engine? It sounds like it might.

I have my engine in the shop to install a new trued & welded crank,bore,and pistons. My question is, while my jugs are in the shop i want to clean my coolhead,Is there a special cleaner for this or can i just clean it soap and water?It has a little bit of stuff inside the groove where the o-rings sit in,its kind of hard to get it out with just a dry rag ,so guys i need a little help on this. This might be a stupit question but here it goes,in california premium gas is 91 octane so you guys mean that you can buy 93 premium gas at the pump?Or do you mix half and half?

Let me redo this Question......has anyone tryed to take the paint off the crankcase clutch cover then polish it? Has anyone done this?

CORRECTION:::::my pistons are 21cc when they blew not 20cc.

I've had these wiseco pistons(.020) for three years,it was bad gas(91 octain)and it was time to change them anyways.Now that i know to check the compression so this won't happen again.I've learned alot from you guys,THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.

Are NGK B8EV's a good plug for my shee? I have a cool head 21cc(pump gas 91 octain),toomey t-5's,stock carbs with 310- mains 30-pilots,wiseco pistons .030,proflo k&n filter. I ride in the desert and at glamis,where i live at its 207 feet above sealevel. Should i use another kind of NGK plug,if so can you tell me what kind? Thanks for your help.

What is a leak test and how do you do it?

I was wondering if a timing plate & a degree key do the same thing? and if i put on a timing plate on my shee do i leave the stock degree key on? Also can anybody tell me what size of fuel line does a shee uses? thanks for your answers.
