  1. Where is it located and how much is he asking?
  2. Its obvious the pin is "slipping" inside the gear. My guess is the shaft and pin got so hot that it melted its way through the cutout in the gear and then sealed over. That would explain it.
  3. ledofthezep, where did you find that link... I only ask because I just watched it from a link on another board that was posted only about 40 before you.
  4. The black/yellow wires associated with the throttle switch, TORS control unit and carb swithes can be removed. reas11 was nice enough to post the schematic. That should give you a better idea.
  5. Yes, thats it.
  6. You want to dril out the "circle" on the carb w/ the choke and the arrow on the other one. The idea is to have both screws accesable when carbs are installed correctly.
  7. Circles arent correct.
  8. How stripped is it? I used some penetrant then a small punch to bang in the center of the head to loosen things up and a flathead to take them out.
  9. ... well then you are posting in the wrong section .
  10. Fuel supply problem solved... needed more gas in the tank . Installed a fuel filter today but its too large so I'm going to try to find a smaller one to replace it, as well as some new hose to replace my hack job. Tried spraying starter fluid around the carbs again today... no luck on finding an airleak. Still have to disconnect the throttle cables completely and see what it does. Triple checked for burrs in carbs too.
  11. Forgot to mention that this "someone"... I'm fairly certain is one of the more respected members of the board. Seems to be the easiest and most efficient way IMO.
  12. Someone very recently recommended filling with 2 qts of diesel and running for a few seconds then draining.
  13. I can hear and see both slides bottoming at the same time. This afternoon I noticed that part of the problem may be related to the petcock. She runs great on RES till its empty or until I turn it ON then back to RES . Is it possible that it may be clogged? Another thing I noticed was the crossover tube was pressed so far downward into the intake manifold that there was 1/2" or more pertruding so I corrected that. Wasn't able to to give her a good run today, weather and time permitting we'll see about tomorrow. Thanks once again for everyones help, especially Banchetta .
  14. I checked for both burrs and binding cables didnt find either. Now I'm having problems with the left cyliner... its not firing. I'm getting very, very discouraged here. I pulled both carbs again and gave them a good cleaning. I am going to try stepping the pilots down to 27.5 or maybe even back to 25. The right cylinder starts first kick, switched plugs and boots still no left.
  15. I would make sure the choke tube between the carbs is connected. Then pull the left plug wire and see if you can get the right cylinder to fire alone. I had similar problem Sunday, pulled boot on oppostie cylinder choked with hand over intake and started right up, then shut it down and fired up both. I'm sure is unhealthy to run on one cylinder but for a second or two it shouldnt matter. I think you should have lifted your needle as well.
  16. Its not too bad when the bike isnt running but boy, when it is... .
  17. Would lifting the needles one notch above stock have any affect on the idle? I put larger pilots in which definitely helped in the low and mid end as well as lowered the idle a bit. I am going to disconnect the throttle cables completely to see if that helps at all. Still stumped.
  18. Yeah, they limit the throttle.
  19. Not even close... thats about $600 USD . Shipping included?
  20. I recommend Spybot-S&D as well to be used in conjunction with Adaware.
  21. The J&T provides a much nicer setup but the improperly sized gauge is a turnoff. The HeatSeaker is better suited for the banshee IMO and with a nicer pricetag.
  22. bluetraxx and BansheeHQ really are not comparable... bluetraxx is targeted toward the younger (8-14yrs) crowd. They only have one section for banshee related questions/posts. If you want to ask/read anything about a banshee, this is obviuosly the site to visit. I cannot belive that the person responsible for maintaining that site would talk to anyone that way, very unprofessional IMO. It's ironic that this came about at this time... I was reading a thread over there a few days back in which there were some videos posted of a beating between of one guy oon another (1 black, 1 white) at what looked to be a house party. Bad enough they condoned the brutal beating, but then allowed members to post blatently racial responses. Really, wtf are they thinking. I was really repulsed and disgusted. I wont be visiting that site again especailly after this.
  23. Yes I did check the choke tube... made that mistake once already so I constantly check it.
  24. The cable freeplay is as the throttle. The cable is new so I dont think the junction would be binding but will have a look anyhow. The tube is seated fully ontop of the carbs. I will also check the see that the slides are FULLY bottomed out. Didnt think the slightest amout would have made that difference but it does make sense.
