  1. How do I know if a ball joint is starting to fail? I assumed play between the ball & the race would be a sign of failure. 3 out of 4 my joints roll around with more resistance then the 4th one. The fourth does not have play in it but rolls around the socket a little more freely.

    That sled is about $5500-6000 tops on the used market unless you sell it @ a race maybe $6500. We have drag sleds everywhere in lower Mi. for 4- 5 g's

  11. Tusk was a POS for me one dune ride it slipped all day. Barnett with Kevlar Pads (not cork) work a lot better. I was told to put 2 whole quarts of fluid so it never starves when dragging.

  13. I just want to swap the boots?????????? They are @ the chromer & he said the rubber boot might get jacked up????????? He has done them a lot of times so people must be replacing them.
  14. What does it take to remove & replace the rubber boot over your ball joints. I found some after market boots but not sure the method to get them to stay on properly. Thanks
  15. Whatever dude its your rig. Everthing is not replaced it is still all 1/2 ton light duty componets. P.S What gears are in that truck? Hopefully 4:56 because thats the biggest that will fit in the 1/2 tons.

  19. Give it some time & go off road that 1/2 ton IFS will work it self ragged. Not only that your PS pump will soon takke a dump. My buddy had 39's on a z71 & the truck started to self destruct. Thats why they say 4-6" on a 1/2 ton with 33-35" tires. I am not trying to kill your post...I'm just saying I would not be in a hurray to go bigger on the tires. I have a 5" lifted Z71 & I wanted to go bigger but I did a lot of research. That is why the big boys do axle swaps.
  20. Cancel your order & get a Cheetah Cub from A & S fully ported for cheaper. $1300 w/ carbs & you can have almost 100 horsies.
  21. I am taking my stock a arms in to get chromed on Fri. Do I need to pull out the brass sleeve bushings in the end or can I leave them & plug them? If I need to pull them how do they come out? Thanks
