lol stan. i remember being introduced to a couple of my dads friends.... "thats the boy" or in the pub... "right boy... its your round!". a few months after he started calling me this and after watching a good few episodes of the simpsons i started calling him jim. my dad and i both have the same name... he gets called jim... im james. jenny... thanks very much... we havent spoken for a while on the phone. i think last time we did i was a tad drunk... but didnt let on lol. maybe there was a touch of being high too. brooke.... thats very true... and you have put it very well. when my dad passes away (which will be a good while away!) i dont know how i will deal with it... i guess time will tell. i know though that it wont be pretty and i will feel like shit for a long time. everyone deals with things like this in their own way.... but i really dont know how i will. MILO... sorry to hear about your mother. i know its not easy. with my mum and dad being divorced, it made it all the harder. i came out here most weekends and saw a change in my dad all the time. i respect your dad for standing by your mother... it takes alot of balls to do that! im hopefully going into see dad tonight. its a nice day so we will be smuggling some beer and a bar of chocolate infor him.... hes on a diet so wev got to keep it hush lol. thanks for all your replies and support guys and gals! its been nice and a bit emotional reading what youv all said. i better get my lunch and finish off the work iv started. thanks again everyone, james.

thanks for all the comments back guys... very much apretiated! mike and stan.... your right with what you say... dont fuck with a mans family. i guess because im "so young" its even harder. i can breifly remember the last time my dad walked without any aid... that was a good few years ago now.... 4 at a guess. i guess IMO, the thing that`s hurt the most for me is that iv never really had a dad at home. fair enough i lived with him... but his memory was bad then and now. i work at home and theres not a day where i think he should be here right now shoveling shit and telling me to get a fuckin move on.... and then at the end fo the day... an arm round the shoulder and say "thanks boy". that one thing ill never forget about dad.... i am not james... im "the boy"

it does help... it explains alot.... so is it the same effect to us? when im driving, sometimes i look at the lights on the cars coming towards me instead of the road. iv asked others about this and some say they do the same.

over here the legal sex age is 16... chicks under the age of 16 are aloud to make the dissision of abortion themselves without there parents consent. in a way i agree.... patient confidentuality is confodential, but at the same time i feel the parents should know about it. most kids say "i blame the parents" anyway.... if you have a kid there is no winning.

ill try to keep this short... 2 years ago this month... my dad was taken from me and put in a care home. he is one of the many sufferers of MS ( multiple sclerosis) in scotland... apparantly, scotland has the highest count of MS sufferers in the world. when i left school, i came back to the farm to work and look after my dad. the divorce of him and my mother took a long hard effect on my old man in more ways than one. i saw him going from walking normally to being in a wheel chare full time. i can say this now.... after all the fun times we had, its not the easiest thing to see your dad become paralised so quickly in such a short period of time. he was the one that made me want to ride.... he was the one that got me my first quad when i was 8... and 10 years after that he got me my banshee so we could ride together. we have had our highs and lows but at the end of the day... your old man... is your old man. when the home help first came in the took a disliking to my dad and i... they couldnt get used to the country life that we lead..... work through the day... party at night.... EVERY NIGHT! we had many a fall out with them... i said.. give it a week and youll be saying your sorry. they gave it a week and sure enough... all 3 of the carers said they were sorry. 6 months later, i was sitting at the oc after a long days work and one of the carers asked me to go outside to take the rubbish out. at that point in time i said i "no" thinking i would do it later. the next week i had social servises at my door along with the cupational therapist... they were taking my dad into full time care because I wasnt fit enough to live with. you may think im a pussy but... i cried myself to sleep for a good few nights after that... thinking about what i could have done to make things better. if it wasnt down to my friends i wouldnt be here today. i went through a shit ton of counciling and therapy after my dad left to keep me here today. the thing im scared about is... MS causes a lose of memory as well as muscle use. i tell my dad i love him and i hug him all the time. im scared that if i tell him i love him he wont remember... and then it will be too late. i miss my dad more than anything in the world. at this time every year i go on a downer and go through everything in my head for one more time.id just like to say... even if your dad isnt your fave person in the world, youv always got to love him. he is your dad and he will always be your dad.... no matter what he says, he will always love you no matter what. now... you can call me apussy all you like but at the end of the day i love my dad and i will never forget him. hes looked after me and iv looked after him.... still am. im getting pretty emotional now so ill rap this shit up lol.... ill leave you with a pic of the giant. he is 6ft 2, and is still built like a brick shit house. 50 cent... eat your fuckin heart out! me dad at the track... my dad and i at the care home... sorry for going all soppy on you guys.

the main problem i have with the glasses is them jittering about in my goggles when im jumping or on rough terrain. the bits that hold your glasses on my nose have broken quite a few times. and yes it does hurt when the little metal bits scratch your head and over your nose! im in town tomorrow so ill look into contacts.

i wanted france to win... then i saw zidane`s head but... liked it but thought it was harsh.. im glad italy won it. rugby is a better game, full contact the same as american football but in rugby you can get away with more. rugby is better than american football IMO.

the 660`s sit too high IMO... i think thats the biggest problem with the tipping and not cornering properly.

scotland here... among a few others rarely seen anymore. nighty, fluxx, and a couple others are in the belguim and holand area. streeshee used to be in germany but just moved over to the UK.

i used to have heel guards all the time on the 450. but when i got the pro peg nefs i took them off. basically if you are riding and have heel guards they are to stop your foot from slipping off the back of the peg so you dont get dragged under the rear wheel. they have saved me a few times but im used to riding without them now. if your foot slips alot i would put them back on. :beer:

iv worn glasses for around 7 years now.... yes im a legend in club 4 eyes. when i go to racing i wear my glasses while firing round the track. its getting a pain in the ass but if i took them off i would prolly crash and burn. im currently looking into contact lenses... taken a while i know! i was wondering if anyone here rides with glasses on? i know that most of you while out riding on a sunny day may wear shades, but im talking about spectacles. the reason i ask is im curious and would like to see if you take your glasses off when riding, keep them on or take them off to put in contacts? does anyone wear glasses in general? tithead.

i watched the las vegas round tonight... bubba won, RC second, chad reed 3rd. the commentators were saying that RC is booked in for every outdoor mx event this year... but next year he is not... hes only doing a few mx/sx rounds and instead, is doing testing with nascar.
