why have all the power without tall gearing?...thats the beauty of haveing 80 horses..a 13/40 would be 7 teeth lower than stock...my bike geared 17/40 will stand on end, speed shifting to third......i tryed a 14/41(stock) gearing on my bike and pretty much stood still smoking my tires shifting..plus do the math on a 13/40 gearing his top speed would be 70mph regardless if he had 500 horses or 50 TRUE!!!!!!!!

I have had alot of people tell me to use that low of gearing but people dont understand that you cant use that gearing with this engine unless you love to shift all the time. With 13/40 or 13/41 gearing I could probably start in 3rd or 4th gear with no problem.

I understand that you are running a 12 port passion engine basicly like mine and Dueces. How does the CPIs work? Where is the powerband and how is the low end power? Have you have the engine on a dyno with them pipes?

yeah i would, i think your dead on..... the delta reeds will be way better, then lets start judgeing the fattys, cause my bike flys with a pro circuit which is restrictive you would think, the cpi inframes would be my only choice for another pipe since im a fraid id be just moving my power band around with any other pipe, and then theres the what if the cpi's take bottom and add top? as maybe the fmf is doing I would have to agree with you. These people that are saying that these CPI and Rocket pipes are so good which I am not douting that they are. Its just that I would think that all pipes would work diffrent from every diffrent type of port setup. A pipe that works great on one ported engine might work like crap on another but I dont know I am all new to this. I just think its common sence is all.

Yeah I really think that most of my problem in comming from the reeds and adjusting the carbs. The exhaust I am sure will play a factor also but even with cheap ass exhaust I would expect it to perform better wouldnt you Duece?

Anyone have any info on rocket pipes? I have never heard of them.

A couple people have told me that there isn;t that big of diff from PC pipes and FMFs. Is that true?? I would love to get a set of CPIs but as most of you know I and a poor white boy and them pipes are up there in the $$$$$$ Any more suggestions?

I took the silencers and air cleaner off and it still ran good there was just a little less power. Not much but a little less.

I also have a brand new set of +2 +1 a arms that I will throw in for a set of CPI pipes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok where to start. I have the exact same engine setup at you duece exept that I am running FMF exhust and stock reeds. I have totaly cut my air box off also as seen below, I am running 20/10/9 razers, Oh I am also running 20cc domes VS 17cc domes because I didn;t want to run strait race gas. Jim highly recamended me to run strait 100LL with 927 for oil. I am also running the same intake as Duece, there is no boost bottle. The cross over tud is built into the intake. I am running way way rich, I am blowing oil out of the exhust and the plug has alot of oil on the threads also. I will try the 172 mains and see how that does and also see if I can get a set of V forces and good exhust. Thanks guys!!!!!!!

Not to sound like an ass but yeah thats low balling me.

But that just it, its not just in the sand its all the time everywhere, sand, dirt, grass. All the time!!! I have ran 16/39, 15/39, 16/41, and 15/41 it does it with all the gears. The only diffrents is that no soner than you shif into 2nd or 3rd its time to shift again. It is way to low of gear, it reves way to fast.

Yeah I just talked to Jim and he said that he really thinks that about 80% of it is my exhust. He said that I need a set of other pro circuit or CPI pipes, he said that will make all th diffrenes in the world. What do you guys think? Oh And I know that I need a set of V Force reeds but I wouldn;t think that they would make that much diff. I am also running +4 on my timming. I also found out that I am running really rich so I need to go down on my mains a few sizes.
