  1. thanks for the replys . i wasnt planin on spray bombin it. i was gonna have a buddy do it at his shop i guess the part i forgot to ask was the type of paint and it got answered . i think im going to go with that color changing paint ( changes from gold,yellow green purple ect..) cant rember the name of it but my buddy had some left over after painting his truck . thnaks again .
  2. how big of a pain in the a$$ is it to strip a shee down and paint the frame ? i have a 91 and was thinking about re painting the frame just wondering if its a real pain to do . thanks for any info
  3. well i had time to sit and mess with my shee today check everything cleaned crabs again checked all the wireing all was good . i kicked it about 10 times no fire so i then pecked on the cdi box with a screwdriver and 1st kick fired right up ! so i got a cdi box from a buds parts bike and shee ran like raped ape woohoo i cant thank u guys enouph for all the replys u guys are the best . now i need new plastic and other minor parts . i also learned that u dont let ur buds ride ur shee all the damage on my bike is from a buddy ridin it ( first time banshee rider ) he ended up with 17 stiches in his tounge oouch ! so im back in busness gonna get some new exhaust prob DMC 916 or dynoport 2:1 . hope to make it to lil sahara OK soon thanks alot guys . would anybody mind if i put a www.bansheeHQ.com sticker on my bike ? thanks again . jeff lebanon MO

  5. (Did you run your shee wide open in 6th gear?)...yes i did what benbb's site said to do (plug chop) . (make sure the choke tube is in place between the two carbs (1/4" x 2" long), ) yep thats 1 of the first things i checked . (Make sure your slides aren't backwards) nope they are in right the notched side u can c throw the air box.(Did this all start at once or after you changed something????) the bike ran and ideled when i got it back from the shop fired up first kick ... it jus never ran that well on the top end 1 cylnder would quit (right side) thought it was reeds they looked fine could use new 1's . all the sudden it wont start when kickin it (no fire ) but if u pull it it will fire right up . it seems the more i ride it the better it runs ? but i dont want to have to pull it everytime i want to ride after riding it will fire up first kick and sometimes it wont. (no fire ) as for the air box lid i have ran it with out and still the same . i'm thinking its the stator but just want some advise befor going and buying a new stator . thanks again guys i really cant thank u enouph for all the replys . im going to try and get a new stator this weekend and c if that fixes the prob. thanks jeff
  6. opps ..yes i have tryed new plugs didnt fix the prob i did a plug chop and they look as they should--> (http://www.dfn.com/benkaren) great site ! and the tors are unpluged (little black box above the left exhaust w/ the 3-wire plug) is that also for the parking brake ? sorry for all the stupid questions and thanks for all the replys . the good thing is whith it runnin like chit i can still out runn my fellow riders ty and keep it comin

  8. hmmm wont start no fire pull it fires up .. shut it off kick it once starts up shut it off gotta pull it again weak stator ? how do i check the parking brake switch or disco it ? really getin old if ya no what i mean ! thanks for any info
  9. yep the tors are unpluged ...they key was removed when i got it . parking break where is the plugin for that? i'v seen in post that it will cause prob. but for some reason i have never checked it (duh) . it started fine after pull startin it road for cpl hrs and it did it again so its gotta be somthing to do with fire cdi,stator,coil or parking break . thanks for the reply . dont no what i would do if i never found this site keep up the awsome work BHQ #1 jeff
  10. ok guys i cleaned the carbs checked the reeds and they look "ok" could use some new ones. im thinking its the stator or cdi,coil started it up ran down the road and was still not runnin right ..parked it for about an hr. and went back out and it wouldnt start no fire ! checked all the plugins still no fire so i pulled started it and it started . seems like its losing fire maybe a bad conn some where i havent found any ideas ? thanks again for any help .... jeff lebanon MO
  11. well i didnt get to muss with my shee this weekend ...honeydo's kept my busy . awsome site benbb . i will try all this stuff u guys told me to try and i thanke u again for the help. i have another set of carbs im going to clean up and set up to put on it this will give me a chance to learn more about them . made me sum float hight temps ty again guys ill let ya no what happens. jeff
  12. ty again for info .. no it dont back fire at all it runs awsome at low rpm's and if u open it up slowly it will rap like it should could be bad stator too huh or coil . plugs look good . the tors are discoed . no air leaks checked that could be bad plug boot ill give that a check ill switch sides c if the left quits . ill give all this a shot this weekend and keep ya posted thanks a bunch for the info guys
  13. thanks for the reply boonman . ill give all that a shot this weekend and c what happens and let u no . ill pull the reed spacers out ! how much are the tdr reeds? and porting the cages is that a machine shop job ? how do i go about checking the float hight? what should they be ? thanks for the info .
  14. i have a 91 shee i just had a new top end put in it had to be bored i was told its a 367cc now . i added reed spacers. it has stock pipes stock filter lid on no holes. it fires up first kick idles good .. the prob is if u open it wide open the right side seems to quit ? it has good bottom end power . the cross over tube is in place carbs are clean i had 190 mains in it and put 200's and it got better ? i was thinking maybe reeds ? i think they are factory never been changed (91) the bike was beat around pretty bad befor i got it . whats the best and cheap way to go about geting new reeds ? any other ideas someone may no or have had the same prob and fixed it . thanks for any help
