So you guys are talking about around 2-3 o'clock position, just up from the pick up coil or down from the upper stator attach point...Or is it exactly where the case starts to bend to the right at the 3 o'clock position (ref stator)
Sorry for the stupid questions

Hello again, I want to purchase a adjustable timing plate. Which is a good brand to go with?? Ricky or Trinity or some ones off ebay or does it really matter?
Also, when I install it, is there any other issues I should be worried about?
thx in advance

I am still running the stock setup.14/41...besides the chart that sredish listed, what difference will that make to top end? Also, I do most of my riding in sand, would changing to a 15 tooth up front be a good idea or bad for the conditions I use the shee in most??

Thanks for the input guys.. I will prolly be installing the kit in the new year and when I do I will post some pics.

Hey guys, have any one here bought these graphics kits or any like it?..If so, what were some of the issues you had while installing them?

OMG thats the answer!!!!! I would tell you but like I said, I just bought them!!! Maybe I should have been more clearer....They are not installed yet..I am just looking for some opinions on people that use them or have used them.

Thanks guys for the replys!!! Which mod do you think is better? The 1 inch holes or cut the back off the lid?
-
Hey guys thanks for the replys..They (toomey) say 12 holes..but I could not find the pictures and BrianEB's pdf instructions didn't attach.

Hey guys thanks for the replys..They (toomey) say 12 holes..but I could not find the pictures and BrianEB's pdf instructions didn't attach. I am assuming they are 1 inch...If I did this, I know it is going to lean the bike out too much...I currently run stock pilots(25's) and 270 mains. What should I change them too?
Thanks again

Hey guys, I have an 03 banshee with FMF fatty's, pc2 silencers, boyesene power reeds, a uni airfliter and its jetted for sealevel. I recently bought a used stock airbox lid so I could drill some holes in it and get a little more air in there. My question is how many holes should I drill, how big should I drill them and I would prefer not have to re-jet after. If I have to re-jet that ok but i would rather not.
Any ideas or has anyone else done this mod before? BTW the snorkel is removed as well.

I totally agree with the above post...keep the $$$ and save for some pipes and silencers
-
what is the altitude above sea level you are at?
-
Look at your reeds...my friend had the same prob with his Cr250 and it was a broken reed
-
Swap tires from side to side and take it for a spinand see if it swaps sides or not. I had the same prob after my full rebuild and the rim was bent.

What u are saying is true...flex agent will not help it adhere....my bad but..it will help it later after its painted. If you roll your fender for some reason, its not as likely to crack and flake as bad....Don't get me wrong, it won't stop it but it will help...
I've used it lots in other plastic painting application. And also for the price of it, why not mix it in with the paint!
-
Do u still have the skid plates for sale or am I too late finding this thread!!
-
U may have already tried this but swap out your plugs and see how that works!!!
-
If you can get the paint to stick, add some flex agent to the paint mix and that should stop the flaking etc....
-
Yeah I believe it is a wire problem as well...I want to start with the ground...do u know where it is??? Front or rear of the bike??
Thx
-
Yeah, I know how they work depending on the speed of your engine to the stator output, but my problems are happening at steady rpm's....They are still going in and out, bright and dim..
Thanks for the reply

Thanks guys...I will look into that tomorrow...any other pointers to give out? I have already installed it once and when I ran the engine the screws backed out of the pick up coil and then it hit the stator and then the bike died...
I had to pick up a ricky stator pick up coil off of ebay and I should be attempting this mod again next week with some modifications to the pick up coil mounting holes...
Thx again
