  1. i would go ahead and buy the larger stator since you are getting one anyway, not sure of the benifits besides larger lights though.
  2. someone with the 2:1 filter setup measure the inside diameter on the carb boots.
  3. depend on were you get it ported, passionre did mine, send him a pm.
  4. Go up on the mains? there are only 2 more sizes, I messed with it today and the pilot is a little rich, Im just curious why with such a large main the plugs would look border line lean.
  5. they are brand new carbs the only thing i could think of is that the float was sticking because after i had them apart it doesnt do it anymore. also while doing my jetting when i pull the plugs to get them at WOT they almost look lean they are a little lighter than cardboard but when i ride it acts like it is rich? i have 190's in it right now.
  6. My left side was smoking really bad when i put my bike back together, when i had the carbs off messing with the jetting i put the carb that was on the left side on the right side and now both side smoke the same.
  7. Im not a big fan of the single carb, but i have freinds that love it. i use dual 30's on my bike.
  8. read the link in this thread http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...topic=21665&hl=
  9. on my ported cylinders i have about 140 on my compression with 20cc domes and the motor is not broke in yet.
  10. i dont think you should have to rejet after changing the timing and yes it will work great with a set of pipes and a filter.
  11. Can someone do the math on your avvy for me, please? me + his avatar=
  12. when you advance the ignition it helps on the bottom end right? and ignitions are expensive unless you are out of other things to buy or your motor absolutely needs it.
  13. Chances are the guy behind the counter doesnt really have a clue the one at my shop doesnt, and the mechanics there are dumb asses as well.
  14. expensive, and useless unless your cylinders are already shot and need to be reselved. you would be better off to get a port job i would probably cost less and get just as much or more power out of it.
  15. mines ported with t6's and i can tell a whole world of difference than before i got it ported, im sure a set of cpi's of something would work better.
  16. mostly dirt roads, trails and sand. anywhere i can in general.
  17. Talk to jim Passionre i think his standard porting is $350 with a bore job im not totaly sure about the price and he can get your pistons for $150. Give him a pm and see what he has to say, he just did my cylinder and did a great job excellent service. 350 port work ? not sure on the price. 150 piston kit 35 ricky stator plate and you can use you stock carbs
  18. They were just a PITA. I got tired of replacing outerwears that got melted from the heat from the pipes, the fear of them falling off(never did though), having to stay away from water so they didn't get wet, hated cleaning them all of the time. With the 2:1 I've had no issues at all & it's a synch to maintain....running the UNI filter & outerwear...same outerwear that came with it I'm still using after a couple years. I just think the 2:1 is an all-around better system than the clamp-ons. Do me a favor and measure the part where the 2:1 goes on the carbs i think my 30's will be to big, they are right at 2" on the filter side.
  19. not very fast but a good trail bike.
  20. What is your budget. I would look into the price of a mx port and go this way, these are the 4 things i would do. 1. MX port, pistons, bore will all be done at the same place 2. timing advance. 3. lighten flywheel 4. ported cages and reeds
  21. you will need to cut it down
  22. you mean one of these?........ mine will be here today
  23. get your 35mm's converted.
  24. CPI's come in chrome. or bare
  25. i have one that is slightly bent that you could have straightened.
