  1. after running..every pipe i have ever touched was hotter then hell!!!!! ouch thats going to leave a mark..... anywas i think any drag pipe is going to be good.. but like they say it depends on your riding stlye and mods....

  4. sure when you kicked it i wasn't the kick starter hitting the motor or something??? maybe something just was moved when you werekicking it getting all pissed off cus it did not just fire right up???? just trying to help here...i;m glad mine starts most of the time while sitting on it with one kick...
  5. did you have carbs off the banshee before you say it was running like choke was on??? just wanted to know cus if so you could have got the slides in backwards.. i know they only go in one way but if you but right side in left and left in right they will go in backwards... also the easy way to check for airleaks is when its running spray some carb cleaner or something around all connections going to the motor.. if it revs you have a air leak. works great.. but then again you can't get it running....
  6. take it somewhere and have it sand blasted .... be faster and alot easier... the cut all the tabs off you don't need and ready for piant...
  7. i have an extra set of cyls i need to get resleeved.. one is cracked... they are 80 what i need to know is where is the cheapest place to get resleeved and should i just resleeve the one or both??? they have some good porting(same AS minkia38 sleeper cyls).. i just don't know if i wanna waste all the bores to have the new one match the other.. or if i should just get both resleeved....
  8. well you should go over your wires real good make sure none are cracked or broke...i have an old shee too and once when it would not start for anything i found a broken wire... my brother just got a shee too and it was running like crap and we found that one of the wires going to the plug wires was real loose so we had to pinch it to tighten it up.. runs fine now...so i'm just saying if basically everything that has to do with spark is new ... start looking for wiring problems mabye get a test light and trace it down....
  9. well we put in some 310's and runs out good now we still need to do a plug check thou... as for the backfiring and bogging i found that after we jetted to 310 it did not get rid of it but i found a loose wire going to the plugs wires and tighten it up ran like a raped ape then... hell 4th gear wheelies are easy.... i was impressed for a stocker with just toomeys... its almost as fast as my banshee....lol
  10. with toomeys you have to have a lil hanger back on the silincers to mount them up... if you forced the silencer way up there that would prolly be why you have a leak where the stinger goes on the head pipe...as for the leak if that don't help then get some new hose and get it tight should not leak if you get it tight enough...
  11. yeah you said he could take it to his house but you still own it... and you should be able to go get it anytime you want.. its your property .. you did not give it to him to keep or sell....
  12. well i hope you get it back... i would never take my banshee to a stranger to work on it unless it is a business and even then i wouldn't i fix my own stuff... you should have had this guy come over and fix it at your place... he could have brought his tools over anytime he had to time work on it and then you could help,watch,learn and be part of the rebiuld....but like i said i hope you get it back....

  14. ok my brother got a banshee and we had to put carbs on it... it has stock motor but has t4's and we just put stock carbs back on it remove the airbox and and put on clamp ons...i'm not sure what pilot jet is but i think its ok it will start and purr like a kitten and is ok til half to full throttle... when we got carbs i check main jets and they was 280... i thought 280 was right for toomeys on a stock motor but i guess i was wrong since it has the clamp ons .. so how much bigger should i go???? 310???at full throttle it will back fire and bog and just run like crap...

  16. i have an out back rack ... it holds a cooler and a small gas can.. it also has the fender tabs so you fenders don't go flappy flap flap...i have the gas can last i looked...email me for pics.... but i don't know about cheap... maybe you got something to trade if not enough cash...
  17. go look at some pics of banshee in the mud the fenders don't really help you...maybe they give you a false sense of security...i have full bores and when i go riding with my buddies we all end up muddy if it is muddy... and mine is easier to wash off ...lol
  18. ronnies sux i ordered a part from there microfiche and took like 2 months to get here i went to local shop and got it that day after it did not show for a week or so.... guess it was my own fault but why did it take so long to ship????

  21. r.i.s. designs byfar makes the best grills but they are pricey... you can find some cheap nice looking ones on ebay cheap thou...
  22. solid struts is a bad idea .. you need the front end to move... my buddie tried that one yr flat tracking and he wrecked...cus it is just solid and bouncing on tires

  24. does it kick real easy.. yeah if you have spark wires should be ok if anything it should try to start... just maybe not run if you have a broken wire after the spark...almost sounds like compression then if you spray ether in it and it don't fire...maybe try pull starting it .. if you get going fast enough maybe it will fire...hell might be flooded now maybe you need to take put the plugs and let it sit over night and see if it might dry out???
