The KX 85 is the slowest bike in its class, thats what it said in this dirt bike mag I read. It said that the KX and the Rm dont have as much topend power as the honda or yamaha because of the powervalves or something and the powerband is wider and not as pipey as the honda and yamaha. What kind of chain is on the yz 85? If it is a #420 chain does the sprockets and chain last very long? the 420 chain on my yamaha ttr 125 stretches easy and wears the sprockets out.

I have been doing alot of reading and I have narrowed it down to either the yz 85 or the cr 85r expert. How much power does aftermarket pipes and sliencers give these little bikes? I heard of kids with 85's that have pipes and stuff beating 125s and Z 400's and 400ex's in drag races. Are these things really that quick?

Oh I've got the working all night on my tractor blues, And my baby says she's got some news, she said "you better get youself on down to Ben & Elmer's tractor company and get yourself a New Holland tractor so you can spend some more time with me or I'm hitting the road." Well I've got the working all night on my tractor blues. git er dun! yall -
speaking of clymer manuals, Do they make one for a 1986 honda atc 125m? git er dun

Actually I was thinking of fixing it up and keeping it. You may think I'm crazy but that thing is fun as hell to ride . It is easy as hell to ride wheelies on since you sit right over the back tires. After I get the motor fixed and running good and I fix the brakes on it I am going to get some small tires for the rear and I'm gonna go flat trak out in the grass (and maybe on the ice in the winter ) I'm gonna call it the Honda "Boss Hoss"
-
you mean you dont use the clutch to shift gears!? Please tell me this is your first time riding
-
H-trak? I've heard of them but I dont know what they look like. post a pic. Just curious, but does the KY in ur name stand for Kentucky? If it does, what part of the state are you from? I'm close to the bowling green area.

Yesterday I bought this 1986 honda atc 125m from my neighbor for $100. He said it hadn't been started in a while and said that the shifter didn't work. I thought I was going to have to dig into the motor but it turned out that it was just the shift lever was loose and the gears are okay. This thing has no front fender, the rear fenders are torn off, the seat is gone, It has 2 rear flat tires and no air filter. It is electric start and has a pull start but the battery is gone. After I cleaned out the carb I sprayed some starting fluid in the intake and hooked a battery charger to the starter motor and after about 5 min. it started. But It smoked worse than a steam engine, literally . After I got it running good I rode it around the house and up the road. I'd say I got close to 35 mph in 4th with 2 flat tires. You would have laughed your fucking ass off if you seen how much it was smoking So when I get the time I'm gonna have to get a new set of rings Anybody know anything about redoing the topend in a 4 stroke?

I got kinda bored lately and I just changed my holeshots on my 400ex to these big ass three wheeler tires that were on my old honda big red. They are really big, I think about 25's and now I got about 8 ins of clearence in the back! It looks bad ass with the back end jacked up I test rode it and I think I go about 10 mph faster than I did with the hole shots but it seems like I dont have as much low end power? Would the bigger tires be harder on my clutch or transmission? Cause my clutch is about ready to go out

I was bored the other day and looking around at the yamaha site and I noticed that at the bottom of the banshee page the price said $6,099 - $6,299 (limited ed.) Is that a misprint or is it real shit? I thought the price was 5,999?

I was at the dealership yesterday getting a throttle cable and a new helmet and other shit and I seen one of those raptor 350s. (The wierd thing about that place is they never have banshees or warriors there, but they have a damn blaster and 400ex always in the show room. they didnt have a yfz out but they had a 450r) At first I thought it was a 660 but I noticed it was small. I sat on it and it feels kinda comfortable. The wheel base feels short, almost as short as a blaster. The suspension felt kinda stiff when I jumped up and down on it and it didnt really feel very tipy. I think I may get one of those as a trail quad later on after I get a banshee.
-
are you talking about the little xr 50's? those things are so fucking fun to ride! I didn't ride a tricked out on but I rode my cousin's stock on in his yard. But hitting pot holes is a little hard on the ass bone on one of those. I dont think I want one of the bikes with power valves. I read in this motocross mag about the kx 85 that it has no topend power and that the power valves help smooth out the power band. So it is probably between the yz 85 and the cr 85r expert (big wheel) cause I want something with a power band hit.
-
What about the suspension on these 85's? Do they bottom out easy on big jumps? I've been building some jumps on my "soon to be" motocross track and my crf 150 suspension cant hardly handle the jumps I have now. I only weigh 145lbs so I doubt that my weight would affect it much.

Street legal quads would be so fucking awesome ! Just think, instead of seeing harley gangs go down the road, you would see banshee gangs. Tricked out shees and hot babes in skin-tight leather pants! But you would probably also see a bunch of old fat guys riding around on utility quads and stuff too.
-
I think some people did get hurt on the one where everybody wore monster costumes and stuff. A guy wearing this shark costume that looked like he was gettin eat by a shark fell in the water on sinkers and floaters and was trying to keep from drowning because of that big ass costume! And it looked like he had blood out his nose. "Kenny Blankenship's most painful eliminations of the day" is the best part of the show.

Six People On One Yfz! Pic Inside!
trail rider replied to DeuceRooster's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Thats nothin! I've seen 8 fat guys pile on a little 220 buyou and drive down the road Each guy probably weighed 200 lbs. All four tires were flat and I think the suspension was locked up after they got off. -
Anybody here watch Most Extreme Elimination Challenge on Spike Tv? It is my favorite show to watch. My favorite game on there is sinkers and floaters. I love it when one of those little jap guys bust their face on the rocks. funny as hell!

If I do get a Suzuki or Kawasaki then it will be the 100cc. I might be wrong, but does the Kawasaki have power valves too? I think its called KIPS or something. Or if I get an 85 it will probably be a Honda, since they have an 85 with bigger size wheels than the yz 85. Are honda 2 stroke bikes pretty reliable? Also, do 85/100cc bikes need a topend rebuild as often as the 125s?
-
ok, so lets say you take regular sugar and mix it with motor oil. Will it turn into snot and bugars and will it sneeze at you?
-
This summer if I dont find a deal on a good used banshee I'm gonna get me a little 85/100cc bike for motocross and trails and stuff. I'm am choosing between a KX 100, Rm 100, Cr 85r expert, or a yz 85. Anybody have any opinions, experience, or facts about these bikes like top speed and stuff? (I know people are gonna say "why dont you get a 125 or 250?" I dont want one cause I have rode both a 125 and 250 and they both feel just too big and tall for me.)
-
my best advice would be if you have never ridden a banshee than you should go and test ride one first to see if you like it. You would really hate yourself if you just bought a brand new machine you've never ridden and f*ck it up the first day of riding.
-
when judgement day finally comes and they stop manufacturing the banshee, do you think yamaha will replace it with a new quad or just forget all about it? In my opinion, I think they will just get rid of the motor and put in a four stroke engine and maybe tweak the frame and suspension a little. But if they did put a 4 stroke in it, it should be a 500cc in-line twin DOHC with 4 valves per cylinder with dual exhaust and dual carbs. And it should be a 6 speed with reverse. Maybe they could give it a name like "yamaha viper" or something and not copy another name.
-
Which do you prefer on a quad, twist or thumb throttle? I kinda like a twist throttle a little better cause I've been used to riding dirt bikes alot more than quads and I can control the throttle better over very rough ground.
-
real tv used to have all kinds of atv and dirt bike footage. Anyone ever see the one where this guy on a banshee looses control after a jump at some mx track and the banshee go crazy and flys up into the stands on top of people. In the huevos 5 video, who is the nut on the 350x three wheeler at the mx track? That dounut in that shop is pretty neat. I love it when he comes up short on that double and busts his face open and then that old guy says " he's got more balls than he does brains" "A friend come up to me today and he asked me, I've got a problem with my four wheeler, and I said yea you need to lose a wheel"
