During the race season, I check my lug nuts, hub nuts, air pressure, case oil, coolant, air filter, grease the fittings, lube my chain and check for proper adjustment BEFORE I ride. Then, AFTER I ride, I'll take a good look for any leaks and then I'll give the whole machine a good wash with the seat off. I have a sealed airbox lid for washing, and I keep it on until I ride or need to start the motor up. Back at the shop, I'll check for wheel bearing play, axle play, hub nuts, and case oil. I'll also give the whole machine a good hard look over and poke around looking for loose things and compress the suspension some listening for weird noises. I'll relube the chain, just a little to keep from building rust after the wash. Once that's all done, I'll cover her up with my magic beauty blanket, hoping all the billet will be polished when I uncover her again... I should probably do more after the ride but I really don't. And I don't spend a whole lot of time doing the above. I do just enough. She doesn't complain either, only when we're done riding... she wants to keep going.

This seems to be a website dedicated to Scorpions.... take a look. TrailASled.com

Go with some 21's most likely. You'll want to keep your compression under 150.

I may be interested in that fuel valve. I'll shoot you an email shortly.

Thanks for those pics... I have to figure out how to remount mine now. The different pipes I have now don't allow for the mounting method I used before. I have yet been able to mount it under the rad and to the front like that, but I'll try again...

I bought it for around a buck.... I remember seeing it at like 60 cents and thinking I need to get some. But I waited to see what it was gonna do. it got to a buck and said f it, I'm getting some. I'm hoping they'll split and then keep going up for some extra dough to the company, which I think could be possible, and get me more dough..... damn I love money, if I could figure out how to quit spending it on the banshee....

Anyone sick of owning a banshee
sredish replied to Bansheeman1121's topic in General Banshee Discussion
you should at least let someone reputable take a look at it before you make that big of a decision, whether it's a shop or a friend. banshees are extremely reliable, and if you are having troubles like that, chances are its something simple or overlooked. maybe jetting or something easy. it'd suck for something easily fixed to cause you to lose your banshee -
What about... say the Alpinestar Vectors.... any opinions?

I've been listening to satellite for well over a year and I'd never listen to anything else. I bought it because I live in the country and my work takes just beyond the range of D/FW radio and I can't stand radio going in and out, so with satellite it never does. Well, I never turn on regular radio, i don't even think my antenna's hooked up at the moment. I'm on the satellite radio 85% of the time, if not I'm jammin to some cd's I made. Sirius is the better service. XM is more popular because they beat Sirius to the punch in coming out, but Sirius are the ones who designed/developed it and took etra time to make sure they got it right, and in the next few years will be the forerunner, guaranteed. I'm so confident in Sirius that I bought a shitload of shares of their stock way back when.

Dale, what the hell did you do this time? hehe I'm no computer wizard, but I believe you have to boot up on your XP cd then choose the volume to format, then reinstall off the booted cd. BTW, rode Rip Char the other weekend, had a hella good time. We need to bust it down there soon. Get back to riding, eh?

I've got a +1 stem I got from tats. Love it, everything's perfect. Only problem I've found is that the mounts are like 3 mm too narrow for a Scotts or GPR stabilizer to fit on. That's pretty frustrating. GPR is coming out with a new stabilizer Jan 1 that will fit behind the rad and mount up out of the way with a remote handlebar adjuster, so that'll probably be how I go. Like I said, otherwise, working great for me.

Krmit, I'll have my front black race-cut fenders, tank shroud, and grey rad cover to let go of in a few weeks. Just have to get my white stuff first. I should have it by the 2nd week of Jan if you haven't gotten any by then. Late.

Where is the plug for the block heater?
sredish replied to broke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Not to keep dragging this off topic conversation on, but.... I will say that mine starts like a nasty ass bloated pig at 80 degrees or -10 degrees, in the stock setting or the "extreme" setting. Sometimes it's not too bad, and other times I think the damn things coming out of the engine bay and it'll either die or I'll just kill it and restart and play with the fuel for a few minutes then she's up and going. I'd take it in and have it checked but when I give her just a pinch of fuel, she smooths out and just begs to friggin run, so who could argue with that. I compare it to a race horse in the gates thats foaming and snarling and bout ready to flip over, but when the gates open, holy hell. When she's warm, she's usually pretty good and idles decent, but she does like to kick a little white smoke on starting.... but I like it. Heaven help the poor soles standing behind my truck when I come out from the grocery and start my truck...... bwahahahaha I f'in love it!! Anyways.... what were we talking about.... -
Where is the plug for the block heater?
sredish replied to broke's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Haha, mine DOES NOT come off of 125 at all, unless it's icy of course. Hell, at the 60 horse setting, it fells likes it's only firing on 6. -
If it's a flat bogging, no sputtering, then it's probably lean. I'd try raising the needle one more clip and see if that takes it out.

Tank, Seat Cover ordered, searching for plastics

Ordered my seat cover. Click here for a close up of the white. Click here for a close up of the blue. That white on all the sides and then the blue gripper on top. It'll be shipped Friday. Kara, at Razorback, was extremely helpful and great to deal with. $80 for the cover. Also ordered my white IMS tank. As far as plastic, I'm having trouble finding any. Maier is closed until the 3rd, so I might have to wait until they're open again. Rocky Mountain doesn't have any in stock in the white. How you guys think that'll look??
-
I know the Maier Raptor plastic is fugly, but the regular plastic I dunno. I don't how it would look any different. I've been looking at some new plastic as well and Maier was gonna be in the running for who to buy from.
