I got a 1998 banshee which i buildt. It has a lot done to it, ported advanced timing, painted frame, lsr chrome axle, works shocks, temp guage, and much more that i will list if people are interested. Iam looking to trade it for a bike plus cash. It will not let me post a pic so i could email them to you if you want.

i will check all of those, however there are some loose wires and i dont know where any of them might go. it has two sepertate coils, unlike the banshee. someone also told me it might be the breaker points, any more ideas or info on this engine?!?!

I just got a go kart that has a jlo rockwell 398 snowmobile engine in it. It is a 2 cycle 2 stroke, fan cooled. I has good compression, just has no spark. If anyone has info on this engine or a wiring diagriam or anything would be helpful. THanks Justin

i just got the seal in the mail for the shifter where it comes through the case. Do i just pop it on or is there anything else that needs to go on?. I just dont want to ruin it and have to buy another seal. Thansk Justin

I would try to go a little leaner on the main jets. the warmer the air the leaner you have to jet it. Try going down to 270's to see if that helps at all

I just got back in from riding her. I got her running and man does she rip now. Gott a gorr woods port and it pulls all over its so easy to weelie. The flywheel key fell out and that is why it was out of time.

come on guys i really wanna get this thing running, you got any ideas what it could be.

20:1 is really rich and could be why it is bogging, try running 32:1. i ran 24:1 in mine once and it was a bit boggy

i would try going down on the jet to maybe a 270. also there is a little tube(its called a choke tube) that connects between the carbs and it will not run well at all if you do not have it in there. check to make sure you had that tube in.

did you buy a new coil or a used one? try switching the wires on your spark plugs around and see if it runs on the other cylinder

Just got her put back together, did a frame up rebuild. it has spark, 150lbs in each cylinder, and there is gas in the carb bowls. shee will backfire about every 5th kick or so, but wont start. could it be possilbe that the timming is off. I got a timing plate and advanced the timing about 3 degees. Is it possible to mount the stator wrong on the timing plate? What else could be wrong?!?!?

they are both the same length i just looked at that, i have some pics but it wont let me post them "The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments." the bolt holes dont even line up with the silencer and the grab bar, the top of the end of the silencer hits the bottom of the back of the grab bar

Just putting the shee back together and when i was putting my silencers on (pc2) then dont fit, they fit over my fattys but they wont line up with the hole for the grab bar where the stock silencers mount and i do not remember how they where when i took them off my other shee. I will get some pics tommorow.

It was my stator. I checked it today and it had no resistance between the white and red and white a green (not sure if they are the colors). I was gonna swap it with my brothers but couldnt get the cover over since his screws are stripped. Neways i just picked one up and it will be shipped out tommorow. As for the flywheel rubbing i dont think that the timing plate is down all the way, i will have to check that out

its the stator, i tested it today and it didnt have any resistance. I will have to check to see if the plate is all the way in or not.

Just found out my stator is bad today, need a new one. its a 98 if that matters let me know what you guys got [email protected]

Just rebuildt my shee from the ground up. I got the engine back together today and just wanted to check for spark before i called it a night. And there was none. I did put an adjustable timing plate on and when i tighten the flywheel nut it actually rubs up against the screws that hold the wires for the stator on?!?. I dont know if this is the problem or not. Is there anything else that i could of just overlooked. ANd they key was on

I just completly rebuild my shee. And it is almost completly back together. But tonight i got the engine all together and i just wanted to make sure there as spark, and there was none. Had the switches on all the wires are hooked up. I have not really looked at it closely yet but i have one idea of what it might be. I got an ajustbale timing plate for it and if i tighten the flywheel nut tight it will rub up against the srews that hold the wires going to the little black. Anyone got anyother ideas, or something simple i just looked over THanks Justin

I just got some new lights and a temp guage. The lights only have two wires on them, so iam guessing that it is just on or off no hi or low. But my question is what two colored wires do i hook them up too. I was looking at a wiring diagaram and was thinking yellow and black but am not just. Also the temp guage needs to hook up to the lights for power would this hook up to the yellow one?

Iam currently putting the shee back together. I got a gorr woods port, boysen power reeds, lightenend flywheel, milled head, modded shift star (complete boon tune) and i was wondering which pipe would run better fmf fattys or pt mids. I ride mostly trails, but do some ocassinal draging

so you guys think the fattys are a better pipe than the pt mids. I was going to trade and have not completely finalized it yet?

instead of fattyhs i now will have pt mids if that would make that much of a difference
