the parking brake is disconnected and the ground has a good connection, does any body else have any ideas, it starts hard, i usually have to pop it just to get it going

shee ran great a couple of weeks ago, then one day wont go over half throttle, I put new carbs on, new plugs, tried different jets, but i dont think it is jetting as pulling out the choke has no effect on performance. Its not the choke tube, i got that in there. It also has a new stator. Any ideas???

I need some money and have to get rid of one of the shee's This is the first banshee i have owned and it is in great condition mechanically. Everything works perfectly on it. It is the smoothest shifting banshee I have driven. The shifting forks were replaced in 2001 by the previous owner. It also has a dynoport 2 inot 1 pipe which sounds absolutly amazing. I has a ceet banshee seat cover, aftermarket chain slider, tether kill switch, newer stator out of a 2001(the lighting coil went bad). The engine was also rebuilt last year. It was bored .40 over and has weisco pistons and rings. It also has nerf bars. The banshee runs perfect. THe banshee looks descent nothing great but it looks descent. the engine was not running when i tested, however i went over to my other shee and tested the same wires without it running and the meter showed resistance. I guess i will check again with the engine running? Is this a common problem in shees though?

I did check those wires and there was no voltage that is why i believe that it is the stator i just wanted someone to confirm it before i spend the money

I need a stator for a 96 shee. the lighting coil went out on mine and i am trying to sell it so let me know if any of you guys got a decent stator that you dont need THanks Justin

My headlights have not been working for a while now. I tested for resistance between the yellow and black wires that come out of the stator (the connectors by the air box) and there was none. I am assuming that i need a new stator i just wanted to double check before i buy one Thanks Justin

i will clean it up and get some new pics by this weekend not interested in a sled already got one and winter is over anyways. thanks though

Here is all the info on the shee that i can think of now 1996 Yamaha Banshee Tether kill swithch, no key. Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe w/ silencer newer rear brake pads. .40 weisco pistons (about 20 hours on top end if that) aftermarket rear rotor cross drilled. That is all that I can think of now. I will let you know if i notice or remember anything else. Right now the headlights do not work. A wire is loose or shorted out somewhere. I am currently working on that. It does not affect the performance of the machine in any way though except that there are no lights. Justin

It also has a tether switch, white brothers boost bottle, and nerfs. The lights currently do not work. 1996 banshee for sale. I am looking to get $2150 obo for it. It is in good condition was my frist banshee and I have taken good care of it. Changed the oil regularly and always ran klotz at 32:1. It has a dynoport 2into1 pipe on it. Pipe is a little beat up but still gets the job done and sounds awesome. The engine is .40 over with about 20 hours on it. It runs good. It is currently in storage but i will get it out and get some pics of it in the next week. Iam located close to milwaukee. Justin

Its a 1998 banshee. I completely rebuilt it this summer. It is bored over .20 I believe its either .20 or .40 but i think it is .20. It has been ported by Eric Gorr. The frame has been painted orange crush. Black plastic, cut front fenders. Custom grill, aftermarket headlights. It also has a temperature guage. THe cases have been powder coated "shiny silver". The crank has been trued and welded and has hot rods. It has fmf fatty pipes. Newer stator with a adjustable timing plate set at +4. It has a lsr chrome rear axle. Works dual rate front shocks. Custom seat cover as well as mathcing shock covers. The head has been milled and the shift star has been modded. Their are also some billet parts such as the throttle cover and brake resivor cover. That is everything that i can think of now, I am pretty sure their is more though Iam loacted in Wisconsin close to milwaukee. Iam not pushing to get rid of it, but if something comes up i will. And iam not looking to trade my shee + cahs for a bike. Iam looking for a bike + cash for my shee. Iam not looking for the best bike or a pertfect bike either. my email is [email protected]
