  5. 100psi or higher, i wouldn't worry about it, 80psi or less makes hard to start and sign for rebuild.
  6. i also use a CFM alum. air box with twin k&n's. i ran open pods on my old banshee and water/mud was ALWAYS an issue and caused high maintance, sucked in water many times and eventually caused the throttle slides to start wearing and chipping off. never again will i run open filters. it really depends on where, and when you ride. in rainy wet pennsylvania you need extra protection. and outerwears didn't help either.
  7. yep, what he said. laegers and fox's, fox evo's have more adjustability than most people know what to do with.
  8. for trail riding i was told by a pro-class dragracer buddy, its safe to shave off up to .030. you can shave up to .080 for draging but will need race fuel, and temps will run hotter. i'm currently at .030 shaved, running on pump gas. and HIGHLY recomend you shaving too!
  9. i just put some fronts on a month ago. very tough rims. there the next best thing to bead locks, but not near the weight. rough edges? the new ones have a ROLLED edge that wraps around the protective ring, instead of be'ing welded. if you ride where its rocky, BUY THEM!!! most places sell them $80-90per wheel, if you can get them direct there about $55per wheel.
  10. i agree, chainsaw them! hahahahahahahhaha
  11. wheel spaceing, or fliping wheels make it harder to steer as well as adding extra stress. bent shocks, yea, i was do'n a 30-35foot table top all day long, then 1 jump i landed heavy on the front left wheel, bent the chrome shaft inside the stock shock like a bannana, seizing the shock. and this was on stock shocks/arms. flipping the wheels work good on the rear.
  12. unbolt and trash them. you'll need to pull off the hubs & calipers to do so. for sand you won't need them. in woods though, they will keep sticks from jamming in there. sometimes on my cannondale i'll get sticks jammed in and have to stop, pull them out and keep on go'in.
  13. thanks, yeah these are +2 - +1 arms. im useing 3-2 rims, overall width is about 47 inch.
  14. badda bing, you guys win, i lose. what was i thinking coming into your living room.i turn in my knee pads.i no longer will refer to my self as the head mechanic. but i am keeping the sig.
  15. bump steer, yea. first thing i did was deflate shocks and worked the arms through the travel range. looks like i will have alittle bump steer. should know this weekend if its twichy another heads up, i ordered these laegers to be +2, it ended up being +2 overall, not +2 per side like some makers i heard of. thanks
  16. i don't know dude, sounds like a black racial comment.
  17. thanks alot dude, i work at a shop, so i got some inside deals, but it still set me back $1125 for the shocks, $600 for the arms. shocks measure at 18 inches eye to eye.
  18. this has allready been asked... in another post
  19. just a little info for those who refer to the YFZ. i constantly hear people saying YFZ this, that, YFZ a-arms, shocks and what not.... well,.... HELLO PEOPLE! do you not know that the banshee is a Y F Z? ??? its know as a Y F Z 350. but i believe everytime some talks of YFZ they are refering to the YFZ 450? !!! PEOPLE should be more clearer on postings! !!! KNOW YOUR MACHINES! POST AS IF YOUR SMART AND KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT.
  20. in case anyone wants to try this combo. if you have long travel a-arms, and want fox shocks. fox doesn't make air shocks for the banshee. but they make long travel shocks for the raptor 700 for use with gibson a-arms. they fit perfectly on the banshee with long travel arms. i called fox talked over the details and this is what they told and sent me. they fit perfectly eye-eye, and excactly the right amount of stroke. although mounting was kinda tricky. the length of hose on the bottles was almost too short. i would have prefered longer hoses to mount them inside the frame, away from flying debre. or even piggyback style for easier removal and servicing. if anyone else does this request longer hoses, maybe an extra 6 inches. heres some pics how it turned out. although where they mounted makes it very easy to do adjustments. the evols are fully adjustable high/low speed adjustments, comp/rebound, ride height adjustment by air pump. they also come with guards/shields but i haven't installed them yet. nor have i had a chance to ride it yet, soon as i put them on i got called out of town on a race trip. couldn't take the banshee... but they feel sweeeeeet!
  21. with my laeger +2 - +1, it measured out +2 over-all, not +2 per side. and 1 inch forward.
  22. yep... they're to long for stock arms, to short for long travel arm's. been there, tried both..
