907banshee Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 ok, i am wantin to get cool heads and cant deside what size domes i should get?? and im not too sure what domes are?? when the say "19cc domes" do they mean its addin 19cc to your banshee? Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 The smaller the dome, the more compression it will yield. That will give you the most power. Usually 19-22cc domes can use pump 93 fuel. 18 cc is usually a 50/50 mix and anything below 18cc is usually needing race gas as it highers the compression that much. Displacement is in the cylinders... Quote

jbooker82 Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 thanksyou very much that was a big help so should i go with 19cc domes? What elevation above sea level do you ride at? Do you want to run $8 dollar a gallon race fuel or do you want to be able to run premiump fuel from the gas station You put domes in for running race fuel and put premium pump fuel in you will melt your motor down. Quote
TeamRealtreeHD Posted August 19, 2008 Report Posted August 19, 2008 Yes, 19cc is a very popular choice. It lets you run pump gas, but highers the compression enough to make some good power. But the main thing is you can run pump gas. That is cheap and easy... unless you want to make a monster of a motor, the 19cc dome is a good choice. You want to stay away from buying race gas if you don't need to... it will get expensive quick. Gas is expensive enough the way it is, why make it any worse? Good luck Quote

Run the 19cc's with pump gas Do a compression check after you add the 19cc domes. I run 19cc domes at 1350ft. and I make 155+ psi compression. That is close to needing to run 50/50 mix. Quote
