bike hard on reeds

has anyone with a high port timing drag motor had a problem with the bike being especially hard on reeds, i only get like 5 runs to a set

What kind of cages/reeds are you running?

if the porting (especially the blowdown) is wrong it can "short circuit " itself and sometimes burn the tips off and chip on carbon reeds

try new stock banshee petals, with ported cages. and the stops trimmed back. toughest i have found yet.my nitrous bike would eat cr 250 v force like razzles.

boyesen dual stage, then boyesen single stage both no stops and now VF2's. i havent pulled the Vforces out yet to inspect them yet.

would this condition worsen if the timing was advanced, say 4-6 degrees??? thanks

I never had a reed problem until last week. I tried a launch limiter on my Dyna ignition and broke one reed at the line (not on the limiter), then another while purging. VF3s.
