shogs Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 I was tryin to swap my z400 tires and my banshees holeshots to see if i liked the feel on my 400 before i bought a new set. I have a impact wrench that works with my z400 bolts but not my banshees. I used a hand wrench and one of the bolts is stripped now. How will I get this off? Thanks Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 i had to use a angle grinder. if you grind it down close enough without hitting the stud it will fall apart when you twist it with vice grips. thats the best way i found. Quote
2/2 many banshees Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 vise gripes and luck if that don't work cut it off Quote
Paddleboy Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 my cousin bought a set of paddles from a guy and his dumbass bro tryed taking them off for him and stripped it out. we workign on it for like half hour and ending up pounding a socket that was a size smaller on it and taking it off. course then you have to get a new nut. shogs Posted August 11, 2008 Author Report Posted August 11, 2008 Thanks guys i'll try what u said...I just realized though that the tire bolts are into the rim...if that makes sense. Vice grips wont fit and I cant cut it without the rim...so I guess a smaller socket has to work. Quote

714banshee380 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Here's a trick that might work. Get a flathead screwdriver and angle the screwdriver on the bolt, then get a hammer and hammer it and it should unscrew. Quote
mdhc500 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Dremel with the cut-off wheel... very compact... Good luck dude!!! Quote
